How many havesters is too many harvesters? I was playing a match the other day, where my teammate had 12 harvesters in a small 4 player match. I had 4. We had already harvested the entire map clean in 20 mins.

Ra2 and yr didn't have map folders at release. At least mine didn't either. And still doesn't now. I just stick my maps in the red Alers 2 folder. It's cluttered chaos, but it works. Also are there any moon maps in that pack? I only have 1 moon map. ps, are there cosmonauts? -
It would be cool to see total community stats. Like how many prism tanks have been made. How many con yards have been destroyed by a suicide truck. Etc.

Well when I calculated this, I just went by the raw damage, not allowing for wasted shots, overkill shots, etc etc. Because I guessed that really all vehicles can do these same evasions etc and so are (almost nearly) a consistent. So the raw damage just gives you an idealistic damage output putting an order of how effective each tank is relative to cost. It was more to assess the allied vehicles against each other to gauge which is best. And the same with the Soviet vehicles. Which is that your best bet is light tanks or heavy tanks. But jeeps arnt completely ruled out against rushes to destroy buildings and infantry. While a mammoth could be worthwhile if you want to use them as mobile base defences, but only a few even then.

so, I just downloaded mental omega to test that mods work. but it didn't run. I need more dll files. msvcp100.dll. is that normal for using.. windows 10, origin's free ra2 and yuri's revenge yuri's revenge 1.001 additional dll files were required to 'run' my mod too. edit the files I required were already in there. and are in there now. yet mo says they are not in there.

Well there are 15 frames per second at normal game speed apparently. So using that and the rof, damages and the projectile percentages against armour types, which are given in the rules ini, I compiled them into a spreadsheet and number crunched. After that, the dps calculated will only give you a guide to how effective then will be. And if you play at a faster game speed the dps will increase, but all the vehicles dps's will increase at the same rate so if the light tank is better than the medium tank, it will always be better than the medium tank. At fast or slow gameplay. Obviously my calculations don't allow for the fact that the light tank is faster so could avoid being hit more, or that there might be so many vehicles that they get in each other's way when moving around.

Um. From what I gathered, the use of Q is the deciding factor in the micromanagement of tank spam games. but what does it do? I can't remember. On a slightly different tangent of Q... ... I wish there was a unit build que system like in the later red alerts. I'm never building units at 100% efficiently.

TS players feedback after one year of TS support

I like some bits of ts. Allot of great units. Gdi 's triple artillery. mobile stealth generator. Cyborgs. Tick tanks. Disruptor. Sub terrainian units. Amphibious transport...pfft no. But I just suck at playing it. I'm ok at red alert2 but suck at ts. Even against the ai. Any tips? -
after discovering how to calculate dps on another thread... as in my earlier post, if you bought 20k worth of just one tank. I was calculating the theoretical dps of the 20k worth of tanks. I found a couple of turn ups for the books... the allied artillery is the best damage dealer if against infantry, light armoured vehicles, heavy armoured vehicles and buildings! and nearly twice as effective as the v2! which I always preferred the heavy tank is the best tank and the light tank is only 2.8% worse. medium tank 16.7% worse than the heavy. and the mammoth tank, wow, 38.9% worse than the heavy, its rubbish, do not use lol. but the jeep is actually 10% more effective than the heavy tank at killing lightly armoured units. and only 8.3% worse than the heavy against buildings. and obviously it rinses infantry. but considering its cost. its not bad eh?

Completely agree. I said they were strong and tough. Didn't say they were any good But you did prove my point of using tactics to defeat them apoc vs ifvs would result in an ifv massacre. But prism tanks could potentially result in a 100% survival rate for the prisms. Back to sov vs yuri, I wish the mod I made still worked, I added the hijacker to the soviets I would send an apoc and hijacker to yuris base, let him mind control the apoc, then hijack it, and then it would be mind control proof because yuri would still be mind controlling it while I have full control of it. Lol. -

Well soviet units have the strongest firepower and armour compared to the allied and yuri counterparts. I mean there is absolutely no doubt that apocalypse tanks and kirovs have higher armour and better damage than any counterparts right? It's just that allied build faster moving and faster shooting units, and yuris units often have completely uncomparable functionalities. The game is fairly ballence. And if something is unbalanced and attacking you, you use counter ballencing tactics. Planes are OP? Build flak troopers/flak track Spy's are OP? Build dogs Armour piercing tanks op? Build base defences. It's easy -
on red alert 1, how many frames are per second when editing the rules.ini file? i.e. if I am looking at a rate of fire of 50, how many seconds is that if I'm playing at normal speed?

Ha ha that's the better tactics I was looking for. Will definitely be doing the one where you Ivan bomb a guy and put him in transport to delay the explosion. If you Ivan bomb a terror drone, and the terror drone enters an enemy vehicle, would that also delay the explosion? And if it kills the tank, and leaps into another tank, would the bomb stay there, constantly being delayed until the eneviable KABOOM!

Is that it? The only tactic available? I was hoping for a new tactic. Cos he seems like a really fun character, but he is actually completely useless. It's like a poor mans terrorist. :/

not sure what you're on about with Q. but why does the ability to eliminate tanks and aircraft mean that the mammoth tank is less effective in combat? but the medium tank is a confusing one. why is it nearly the same strength, speed and rof as the heavy tank but for an extra $150 you get double the firepower.
