New Mission Map : Wolves at the Door (Soviet Mission)
Concolor1 replied to Concolor1's topic in RA2/YR Maps
All I’m saying is the csf holds only RA2 texts and the csfmd which has texts for both games. However for anyone with just the RA2 game. It will only read the csf. and anyone with YR well that reads the csfmd. so in order for both games to read texts you would need both files. Then you would edit it with a string editor. -

That’s interesting, so it’s a lag issue and nothing to do with a bad trigger. -
New Mission Map : Wolves at the Door (Soviet Mission)
Concolor1 replied to Concolor1's topic in RA2/YR Maps
Ok I misread what you wrote, you need a csf for your own maps on the server? A general one, good idea. I think the csfmd holds all the RA2 game texts as well as the YR. but it won’t work the other way around. So you may need two files. -
To save trawling through pages and sites, it seems a good idea to put all the mission links in one place. New Mission Map : Driven Up the Wall (Soviet Mission, Yuri's Revenge)
Concolor1 replied to Concolor1's topic in RA2/YR Maps
Ah there are some compatibility issues I’ve found. I run original disc versions, also have the Origin version. Whilst another recent mission runs fine on both. This Driven up the Wall Mission had csf issues on the Origin version. Yet both csf files are loose in the RA2 folder, I’m just wonder why the Origin version has such a hang up in reading csfs. But it does so there we go. -

Concolor1 replied to Concolor1's topic in RA2/YR Maps
Curious. Are you using the Origin YR release? -
No you move briefly into each zone when it flashes that colour. However moving into the wrong zone resets it ?. As it’s only two colours for each statue it’s not a long process. You will hear the statues crumble if you get it right. The vocal numbers were a secondary hint for anyone saving the game and restarting from a save point, as the game doesn’t read the building on off variables when it comes to lights. so yes simply move into the lit area when the correct colour displays.

Old Mission map for the Terrain Expansion, originally released in 2003. Written to support the original Terrain Expansion pack. Full instructions and credits in the Read-Me included in the zip. Author: Concolor1 Editor: FinalAlert2 Created:11th August, 2003 Name: Moon-Madness TX Size: 90x90 Players: 1 Theatre: LunarTX To play this mission:The TX Terrain Expansion is required! https://www.moddb.com/games/cc-red-alert-2/downloads/terrain-expansion-self-extracting-installer Unfortunately my upload allowance won't permit me to include the expandmix06 file I was using as the original TX appeared to have no separate theatres and just held everything in one expandmix, so fingers crossed this works for you. The Yuris Revenge mission disc is also required. Extract the contents of the zip file into your Red Alert2 Directory. ecachemd98.mix,expandmd98.mix and the ra2md.csf. Select new campaign for the Allies. The game will then launch. Various slight modifications have been added, all to keep in with this missions theme. Once you have done playing simply remove the files listed above to restore your game. Id class this as a difficult mission, the player being restricted in their movement around the map until they have amassed sufficient forces. Your best bet is to grab the three closest Oil Derricks and hold them, as the enemy has an unnerving ability to detect your resources, and destroy them. Your Robot tanks almost act as a lure at times, so ensure you have them defended by cosmonauts. Your only going to be able to win in the ranked time by a mass rush. However if your not too fussed and simply want a slower win, then take your time. Hint: To start you off there's a cash crate in your base if you destroy the pipes next to your barracks. Hint 2: The Flak Cannons are placed annoyingly close to your barracks, so you have to be very quick in moving your cosmonauts away as they emerge. "Moon-Madness---Written for the TX Expansion Pack" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Info: The Soviets have built and designed their very own Robot controlled tanks. These are Ideally suited to all types of environments, better equipped and better armed than the Allied counterparts. A production facility has been constructed on the moon. This Moonbase appears to be one of the key elements in the funding behind the Soviet war efforts, and tapping into the moons hidden resources is what the Soviets have set about doing. A small Allied base has been established in a hidden crevas close to the Soviet operations. Use the limited units available and destroy the Soviet Robot Command Center, once offline the Russian facilitiy will be relatively undefended and ours for the taking. Objective 1: Destroy the Soviet Robot Command Center. Moon Madness TX.zip

New Mission Map : Wolves at the Door (Soviet Mission)
Concolor1 replied to Concolor1's topic in RA2/YR Maps
Yosef were you able to get the csf to run with your Origin version of the game? You want me to make a general thread with links to each mission just for onsite or other websites as well? Could be a side project but im up for it. currently looking at Moon Madness now, i'll take some timeout from other things to look at posting it. -

Mission Map : Temporal Exposure (Allied mission)

I wonder what it is exactly as all the triggers seem fine, it seems more a random glitch. I really ought to strip it back. Thanks again anyway. Makes me wonder if something got changed between RA2 and YR release. -
Brand New Mission for Yuri's Revenge. Full read-me with instructions, hints and credits in the zip file. Big thankyou to McPwny and the community who helped alot with this. Full credits in the readme file. Author: Concolor1 Editor: FinalAlert2 Yuri's Revenge Created:27th June, 2021 Name: Celestial Intervention TX Size: 120 x 120 Players: 1 Theatre: Lunar TX To play this mission:Yuri's Revenge mission disc is required.(Unless you have the full game installed on your system.) Extract the contents of the winzip file into your Red Alert2 Directory.Launch the game, select new campaign for the Allies. The game will then launch. This does seem to work fine with Origin. Ensure you do not have an ra2md.csf file in your RA2 folder, otherwise this mission ra2md.csf will overwrite it. Files----- expandmd94.mix,ecachemd94.mix, expandmd07.mix and ra2md.csf, contain all that is needed, simply select New Mission for the Allies and away you go. Once your done remove these three files to restore your game to as before. Full breakdown, rules and credits in the read me. Celestial Intervention Ok Space Monkeys! Location: Asteroid 511 Davida - The Asteroid Belt Info: Its estimated that there are almost 200 asteroids larger than 100km in the Asteroid belt. And it seems the Soviets have discovered a wealth of ore and gas reserves on many of the asteroids in our system. Their constant need for resources can mean but one thing, - more conflict. The Soviets have beaten us to the stars and have established a base on one of the known asteroids. Commander we need to be out there as a position among the stars is of stratigic significance. Space is an unknown theatre of war, not only do our troops require oxygen, but conventional weapons struggle in the rarified atmosphere. It is for this reason, we have come up with a number of new technologies to fight our campagin among the stars. First and foremost is the Robot Soldier, we can't risk our GIs. These soldiers are equipped with high focus lasers, that tear through the enemy. Unfortunatley the Soviets have them as well, although a cruder model, theirs are cheaper to manufacture. Weve also trained our Space Monkeys to carry out a simple task. These Chimps will serve as our fronline Engineers, each chimp has been given a tech device, and trained to enter a structure and attach the device to any surface. The tech device is then able to relay information back to our hackers and in effect assume control of the structure. Its a lifesaver and has saved the allies training Engineers for space. Weve also come up with a diverse use for the Weather Controller. Your instructions are to make landfall on the asteroid, establish a base and then eliminate the Soviet forces from its surface. Beware the Soviets have some new technologies themselves. Your spaceforce is on it's way, Good Luck Commander! Objective 1:Destroy the Soviet Bases on the Asteroid. Objective 2:Capture the Secret Tech Lab. Game Modes: ---------- Easy: Reduced Patrols, added Bonus Crates, Reduced Ai Attacks, Hint Texts. Medium: Few More Soviet Defences and Patrols, Units and Attacks. Hard: More Patrols, More Defences, More Attacks,A Nuke, Harder Ai. Best Experience, Play Hard - Play defensive, and ajust your tactics for this level. Celestial Intervention TX 1.1.zip

That’s the guy, he was bright orange when I saw him, all that embalming fluid. Lots of daffodils around him too.
