RA+ 3.03 No CD issue.

MikeB220

Question

I recently installed RA+ 3.03 on my Windows 7 64-bit machine. It installed just fine, but when I run it it wants me to insert the CD. I own the original discs so I can get it to run. I also installed RA+ on an XP machine and it runs fine without a CD. Does anybody else have this issue with Windows 7?

I downloaded it from http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=21

I also installed Red Alert using the Red Alert Setup Manager v0.98 and it can run without the CD.

RA+ 3.03 is installed in the suggested directory, C:\Westwood\RA+

The error I'm getting says:

Red Alert: ra95.dat - No Disc

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:.

That error is fixed, quite simply, by inserting a disk in your CD drive.

Any disc at all. Doesn't need to be RA, doesn't need to have anything at all on it. Just put a disk in the drive and it's fixed.

Personally I never have this problem because I always have some CD mounted in Daemon tools, which also fixes this bug.
