Never_Enough Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 I saw an older post re: Helicarriers, but couldnt get them to work. Can anyone provide me with a careful step by step guide on how to get the hidden units to work? I only have cncnet version of ra1 installed, not the first decade or any other. Regards, Rob
Jacko Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 You need to change them in Aftermth.ini Change their tech level value to a number that isn't -1
Never_Enough Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 You need to change them in Aftermth.ini Change their tech level value to a number that isn't -1 Ok thank you, but where do I find aftermath .ini? When I search the folder redalert 1 online I cannot find it. Bear in mind I have only installed red alert via cncnet.
Nyerguds Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Extract it from the .mix archives using xcc mixer. Probably in expand something .mix
Never_Enough Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 Thank you but as a complete newbie to those things I dont know how to do any of that
Nyerguds Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 It's a program. Called "XCC Mixer". Go google, download and it? As for the extracting... http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/junk/tutorials/xcc-copy-extract.png
FunkyFr3sh Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Open the cncnet client, host a game and select a map where you like to make the units available. Now right click the map preview image to open the map editor. Click on the "T" icon in the top right. Add the following lines to the bottom, change the name of the map and save the file, then restart cncnet. [sTNK] TechLevel=8 [CARR] TechLevel=8
