Hello sorry to hear this. Could you try 2.59? Newest update
-
Try selecting a different tunnel when creating a game. (Under advanced settings). Also ensure gamemd-spawn.exe is allowed via your firewall exceptions.

It sounds like you need to update your video drivers. Also check your game resolution set in the client options. Is it set to the same as your desktop resolution?

Hello - Take a look at this FAQ: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=4415.msg36351#msg36351

Hello, EA Games have not released Red Alert 2 or Yuri's Revenge as Freeware. You can buy a digital copy of all Command & Conquer games from the EA Origin store or via Electronic Arts on Amazon. There are also places like G2A but use these at your own risk. https://www.g2a.com/command-conquer-ultimate-collection-ea-origin-cd-key-eu.html

Hello - indeed. Are you using CnCNet? https://cncnet.org/yuris-revenge If so, the patches needed for Windows 10 should already be applied when you install. If you have just recently upgraded from Windows 7/8 etc, you will need to re-install using the link above. If you've done the above, go into client options and under Display, go to Renderer and set it to TS-DDRAW. It's a bit trial and error, if that makes it worse, undo that and check VideoBackBuffer.

AuFRuLeR has issued a verbal warning, we advise to stay clear of one another to avoid any further confrontation. If there are similar reports from other players we'll look at the next course of action.

The Red Alert 2 balance suggestion thread (Made for funsies)
Grant replied to Philpy95's topic in Red Alert 2
In theory we could add an option in the host settings for a community style patch if there's demand for it, though the community would have to vote on a group of players who would handle the changes (people who have a lot of knowledge of the game - probably top xwis players I would imagine). -
I think I spotted another bug to this. If they are kicked and quit, this still happens
-
Hello - this is likely because the client cannot access this file and is unable to continue without it. You can do the following: - Move your game installation (where Yuri's Revenge is installed) out of Program files into My Documents where admin privileges are not required. - Run the client as administrator
-
Cool! No thank you for the detailed report, really helps.

Seems it was used as patch for Jagged Alliance 2, but if it works for RA2 too, then that's cool, I guess. I don't think it'll get any particular advantage from the 3D stuff though. There's another fix like it, called DDWrapper. The official home page for that is http://www.bitpatch.com/ddwrapper.html If you use that one... download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and launch the game. As you see, both of these put a "ddraw.dll" file in the folder. These files are not the same, so these patches can not be combined. Use either one or the other. Nein, that didnt help. The ddl file is deliting hen launching game. If you are using the CnCNet client it will delete the ddraw.dll file, it actually exists in the client options. Go to Options > Display > Renderer, set to ts-ddraw and try again.

Thanks, does this happen with a certain player count? Aka a full room? Or any amount? Think I've got a fix, will try it later tonight.

Any cheats or modifications to the game that you might be using?
-
Apparently works here too http://xwis.net/forums/index.php/topic/181449-red-alert-2-cheat-that-enemy-controls-all-ur-units/

Unable to connect to the server. A system call has failed (Connection Error)
Grant replied to Amr_Amr's topic in Red Alert 2
I actually don't know whats preventing from connecting. Is there a firewall you have that is blocking connections? -
Please post your cncnetclient.log file, can find it in your game directory.
-
Hello - Should be fixed for you now
-
Hello, could you upload client.log also? Also ensure your .NET 4 framework is installed.
-
Do you spam the game chat like go go go on new lines, or constantly hit accept?
-
Thanks! Any bugs just post away with screenshots/details of how you did it. I can't guess your error guys. Thanks!
