try to ping using cmd in windows, do "ping -t google.com" or replace google.com with your internet providers site I think these website tests only show the lowest ping, but what is causing the lag are the spikes when it jumps from 12 to 340 then the game would stop for a moment

Try to play around with the rendering options. Normally this problem on happens on win 8 / 10 and there are known fixes for it. But if you get that on win 7 then it's special, maybe broken drivers or something else is not right on your pc

I checked the file, the error is well known and has something to do with air units. Different people tried to fix it already but no one was able to reproduce it which makes it really hard to fix Would be nice if you could tell us what you were doing when it happened. Did you try to build a new air unit? Did you just attack and lost one or more? Did they just land on the airfields? What air units did you use? mig? Edit: You could also record your games and upload them if you run into this error, I never saw a video of it!

The game start is always instantly, I think something is blocking it and slows it down. You should have the same problem on skirmish too

Are you talking about Red Alert 2 as allen said?
