  1. Yeah, man, that's my point. I know you're trying to be nice about it and all, but you gotta leave provocative post be, you can't just go around snipping people's stuff. Not because I care particularly, but because it ain't exactly right.
  2. My, my, are we self-righteous... A notification, at least, would have been appropriate. Censorship on a 'whim' basis is definately not becoming of this establishment, and if it was you who did that, you're that much more of a clueless prick. So go on and delete this also, and feel important.
  3. As far as canon goes, the TD Nod campaign can very well be something that happened before the GDI one, and without breaking any continuity at that. As far as the med. tank-light tank comparison goes... Well, I've only played C&C3 like once and I didn't like it at all, so I don't know how it is there, but the reality in TD is that light tanks suck balls. They are not meant at all to fight pitched battles against medium tanks, because they are not only 'lighter' in damage and armour (and price), they also have a worse ROF, a lower range, and, contrary to popular belief, they are not even faster than med. tanks. So, the light tank is somethig you'd use to get rid of hummers or maybe a guard tower, or to block a bridge, but if you're up against medium tanks you need bikes and turrets/obelisks.

    Nicknames

If your nickname's 'Crash' you're gonna have a bad time...
  5. Actually, that's my point. Usually, powering your PC on and off does indeed do more harm than when you simply keep it on.
  6. So this indicates that they probably don't count towards air units on the map, but that might be a wrong supposition.
  7. Transports stuck on the border perhaps? Otherwise, it should be easy to test whether and which units count towards the 'all destroyed' trigger. And, on a slightly related note, do A-10s and transports blow up when an MHQ is destroyed, or do they fly off? Do choppers get destroyed?
  8. Which is a problem... how? l I'm pretty sure leaving my bedroom desktop PC on for months at a time is what reduced it to the state it is now, where it takes several attempts to start up. ;*( I never even turn it on anymore, because I'm convinced pressing the POWER ON button several times fruitlessly is even more detrimental to its health!!!!!!! Nah, that shouldn't be a problem. I had a desktop PC that literally ran for years without me shutting it down and with no problems. And it wasn't getting to sleep much either, while I was sleeping, it was blasting music...
  9. Which is a problem... how?
  10. You can't do that, unfortunately. The AI can receive the airstrike as a superweapon, and then it'll use it as one, meaning it'll target only structures, and in a particular order, usually your first-built AGT/Obelisk being first, IIRC. Nyer will maybe elaborate. EDIT: If Matt actually found out a way to do what you're supposing, that'll be awesome!
  11. Why did the last A-10s not attack the CY? Airstrike trigger?
  12. Man, I miss the DOS screen shake too...
  13. Don't think so, the scars from the last public lashing are burning still.
  14. I'll try and remember to do that. Work-wise things should easen up for me at the start of June, but that might also mean I'll drink myself into oblivion in the park. I've only played several games with Ferret since I came to cncnet, he can pull out a mean cheese sometimes, but that general infantry build is a huge risk and thus a bit passe.
  15. Also, general, physical cleanup of the PC is good too, i. e. blowing the dust out of the cooling fans, as overheating can cause a lot of problems for the processor. The coming summer reminds me I have to do that too. EDIT: Skype is a huge memory hog and a failed client, IMO. Don't use it. Multiple chrome instances are normal. When looking through Task Manager, just look at the CPU usage. Eliminate all the hogs you can eliminate without consequences, and if you have doubts about a process, just run a google search with the eaxct name to see what it is (there are a few pretty trustworthy file-description websites out there).
  16. You should keep them, it's just the regular Airstrike trigger that gives the superweapon to the player.
  17. I'm currently smothered in work and only managed to get a couple of games in for the entire month, but it seems the situation is pretty much as you left it.
  18. I think it's been over 15 years since I last played it... Been playing TD since it came out, then we had a very brief stint with RA with my LAN buddies, before we eventually realized it was all tanks and tesla and went back to playing the better game.

    clan!!!

It's for people who need to belong. And good for regular sparring partners, maybe...
  20. Well, I was a couple of thousand miles off. In my defence, East and Southeast Asia are a bit of a broad topic. EDIT: For contrast, the entire Southeast Europe (a. k. a. the Balkans) is barely 1000 km from end to end.
  21. Well, actually... attacking the harv with air units or defence towers does not trigger the all to hunt event.
  22. You got it all wrong, we become junkies and drunks much earlier than 17, and it usually happens because of school.
  23. No, I just know you're Korean (or thereabouts, sorry if I'm mistaken), probably from RA vids on youtube - I don't play RA but I do watch reps from time to time.
  24. Ah, yes, probably that's what confused me... Because I distinctly remember Funky telling me there's a GUI for hotkeys now, and I was happy we wouldn't need to explain how to do it every time.
