well to be fair the showing all other nicknames and not allowing players to smurf is also a reason activity dwindles. ive seen it before. every major game allows for smurfing, for players to have casual games and not be dodged, or to practice...etc. that was also a mistake imo to show all user names. unless someone is cheating this shouldnt be, no reason to get rid of smurfing i think it killed the ladder as well as that was a huge part of the ts player and clan ladder so that people wouldnt dodge games. u guys on ur end can keep track of ips or names or w/e but why show to all

ill bet you get more ladder games reverting to the check ladder game box. obviously ts activity dwindled. its like 20 yrs later.

there has to be an easier way. theres been other tiberian sun clients over the years that have done it. clearly a ladder can be made, and it can be integrated. funky i dont need to ask, i said i think - as in my opinion, and others are free to agree or disagree, i have a pretty good grasp on what happens on ts and its players

I think the separate sign up process for the ladder was a mistake and is why its not so active. Is there a way to get rid of it and just integrate it like the old days? And how about clan games?

there is no "correct" way to play ts. as long as you aren't cheating, and you successfully win the game which is the point of the game....then who cares how you accomplish it. there are players out there that want to build the biggest bases, and have the most units, instead of just ko'ing their opponent by any means possible which is the actual point of the game....

TS was better before any of the changes made. its annoying to even get on sometimes and have 18 diff versions of vet shit, stuff changed, dumb edited maps. they've only annoyed me with all of these changes, versus ts I was used to for 20 years.

nod is already at a disadvantage to gdi, and you want to make gdi easier. it doesnt matter if it can 1 shot a building. youre trying to buff up gdi when it actuallity it probably needs nerfing. ive read a few of your posts, i dont think youre non intelligent but i think you lack the knowledge about ts on a level that some of the people you are bantering with have.

I dunno how long of break they took but tigerr and toprush arent new to the scene. Tigerr is k4yok3n or ofinimame (also a log i used for a while) and toprush is chongor and i remember them from way way back on and off since like 2003-2004. and tbh the best of the past few yrs are clearly; tigerr, carnage, c0rps, dar, cambria, ray, tight etc. like c0rps said nobody really has "stood" out.

More than one person has asked me to voice my opinion on this matter because they think my opinion carries some sort of weight. What is the status of us getting an active ladder? There was one, then the server changed or whatever and it went down. Now there are some makeshift ladders that show all the games played but only count 1v1 for points, as well as a mod map ladder for maps that arent sanctioned yet that follows the same guidelines. Why is this not up or advertised yet? Is it still buggy? Ladders and clans are extremely important for this games popularity and player activity. I havent heard anything in a long time about updates about stuff since I talked to Sean3z on fb like a year ago. It would be nice if there was a pinned topic here that could maybe update us on TS activity happening behind the screens as far as updates and ladder, and fixes.

I am a top tier player now but as a newb I got kicked also and hazed. So I set 1vs1 and practiced and learned and then improved and got to the top. You can too.

Ever since the beginning of ts all new players have gotten the same treatment and hazing. A tiger has to earn it's stripes. Get better on your own time. Set 1vs1 or 2vs2 with other newbs.
