Did you forget Guardian GIs? Nighthawk Transport directly from War Factory instead of having to make Naval is insanely useful. Engi-IFV for free repair. Gap Generator. What about the free Paradrop that America has? The list is virtually endless. -
LMAO, at least it's symmetric. What the hell is that center thing that only Allied can capture with a Nighthawk transport?

^ From one of the best Allied players of all times. Good luck to any challenger. :yo: Don't get me wrong, PreP. I certainly respect you as a human being as well as a pretty decent player. You're a cool guy. But you're certainly not someone who knows how to play the Allied faction and how OP the Allied faction in reality is. -

Not encrypting the MIX contents doesn't make any sense. Anyone with half a brain and basic understanding of common file formats can easily make out where a file starts, ends and therefore where the next one starts - as you noticed. Why bother encrypting at all? If it's true then this whole thing relies solely on keeping SHP and the other formats secret. Lol, I just checked this, Nyerguds. You're right. The contents aren't encrypted at all. Funny shit. I expected better from WestWood :ranting: nevermind, I realize the MIX I was looking at was created with "XCC by Olaf van der Spek", can't verify if encrypted Westwood MIX files also don't have their contents encrypted, but I'm taking your word. :puppydog: -

Here's a game of me and Gino (two allied players) vs Josh and Adam (two soviet players) with SUPERWEAPONS turned ON: http://xwis.net/ra2/games/10560/ By your guys logic the two Soviet players should have smoked us pretty easily. Well if you think that, then you couldn't be more wrong. I was red on the top left, BTW. My opponent never even got to use his Nuclear Missile whereas I used my Weather Storm twice. Surprise, surprise, two Chronoshifted Prism Tanks behind his Nuclear Missile while distracting the opponent and applying Weather Storm on his base took care of it. Dayum!!! Chronosphere is soooo weak!!! Honestly? This is about the stupidest post I've read in a long time. How is Weather Storm useless? You contradict yourself BIGTIME. Then you're playing against noobs. Because the occurence of Chronosphere in high level play is about as much (if not more) than the Iron Curtain. I digress. Allied is strongest with or without Superweapons. It really doesn't matter. The thing is that many players simply don't know how to use Superweapons. Because in for fun games Superweapons are typically OFF and in ranked QM on XWIS they are mostly random. The vast majority of players simply lack the experience of playing with Superweapons turned ON. When did you ever beat me? I don't recount a single time. You're just a lying scumbag. Nothing more. The game you are talking about you almost killed my MCV and I sold it: http://xwis.net/ra2/games/9419/ AND LOL AT "ABOUT TO LOSE". YOU KILLED 4 TANKS IN THE ENTIRE GAME. YOU'RE USELESS. Then used the Engi from the sold MCV to capture yours. You moved your MCV up the cliff and didn't protect it at all. -

Thanks blade, that's an excellent explanation! Frank "zzattack" told me that MIX files use Blowfish a couple of days ago. But of course your explanation and knowledge of MIX files is much more in-depth and contemporary. So everyone with the WW pub key can unencrypt decrypt the blowfish key used to encrypt the contents of the MIX. Now, the problem is obviously that if you don't have the original WW key pair you cannot generate encrypted MIX files with a blowfish key of your desire. I don't know what EDWIN is. Is it a tool? I've also seen Olaf's blowfish class. The algorithm itself is quite simple. I've particularly had a good laugh at his byte swapping function: https://github.com/OmniBlade/xcc/blob/7b5459984276e84c670a7343bb3fb1a05a976b6e/misc/blowfish.cpp Fun fact: there's an instruction called "bswap" that does all the work for you. Anyways, here's what Frank "zzattack" told me about MIX: -

Umm excuse me? When did you ever beat me? I sure as hell never said you're anyhwere near "good". In fact, you're so bad it's beyond comprehension. Your losses are against the current rank1? Dude, you lose series to random noobs and you even lose to people who have 5 times more losses than wins. That's ridiculous: http://xwis.net/ra2/games/3357/ And also lol at "barely play". Do you think I played a single game of RA2 in the last 4 months except for the past 3 days? Trust me, I never lost to random noobs and scum like you. When was that? And where? Answer that. -

GN can't mutate 100 infantry at once. =] Try again with a more realistic number. Besides that, Chrono Commando is not a realistic unit to be talking about AvY. In fact, unless you're a cheater it's not possible, at all. So what's your point? And again some debunkage: Psi Commando is 1000 $ not 2000 $ as you claim. Arguing against two noobs who don't even know how to play RA2/YR. a1nthony (#63 26 / 26 285p): http://xwis.net/ra2/pl/a1nthony/ heldro (#78 34 / 36 253p): http://xwis.net/ra2/pl/orcaninja/ Yes, I, personally, do like to play Soviet. Why? Because I prefer the extra challenge it gives me playing against Allied (#13 18 / 3 493p): http://xwis.net/ra2/pl/siralex/ Actually hurts my head arguing against 2 complete and utter noobs who never actually beat me in a single game? -

No, I didn't calculate flak tracks. But thanks for proving the point that the damage a Chronosphere can do is far beyond that of what Genetic Mutator or Iron Curtain are capable of. And hence the reason why Chronosphere takes longer to charge. -

Nice correction. Where did you state 6k? Your previous post says 12k, moron. Although, in practice you won't ever even make 6k that way. If you're really lucky maybe 2k. Do you know how much damage a Chronosphere can do? Yes, the Allied Chronosphere can do 54000 $ of damage at once. Talk about OP. -

For starters: Grinder doesn't magically give you "full amount of money for unit and not half like cloning vats". The return for grinding as defined in the units Soylent field. For most units this statement holds but definitely not for all. How is this of any relevance? Slaves don't have any Soylent. For idiots like you: grinding slaves does not make you any money. So your entire calculation is bogus. If you however believe that you can use Psychic Dominator on 25 Slaves, then you're a moron. Did you ever even play Yuri? If you did you would know that you can't control Slaves. Besides a Brutes Soylent is 250 and not 500 as you claim. And lastly, whoever lets you freely use your own Psychic Dominator on your own Slaves while sitting at home doing nothing with his own Superweapons cannot be taken seriously and is probably a 5 year old kid like you. I'm actually amazed you're capable of typing. -

Depth Charge and Lake Blitzen have always been AvS. Doesn't mean they're balanced in that scenario, they're not. Both are pretty much a freewin for any Allied that knows what he's doing. Alaskan Oil Spill is mirror only as it would be a pure joke in AvS. -

Your posts consist of so much bullshit it's mind boggling. Learn to quote. Naval maps are usually mirror only. Yes that means that Allied can only match Allied. Why? Because on naval maps Allied is OP. -

How can Magnetrons "steal" ore miners? But do you know what? Tanks, be it Rhino or Mirage Tanks or even Siege Choppers can kill Yuris miners just as easily. That's Isle of War. I've had tense, hour long games on Isle of War. My longest being 3 hours and neither of us left until we had fought it out. Jesus Christ, kid. Can't take you seriously anymore. When will people understand that there is no such thing as "infinite money" for Yuri? But yeah, myths are very powerful. I feel bad for you, dude. Because there is no way you can learn to play Yuri anymore. There simply is no real 1 vs 1 competition on CnCNet. I've played YR in its golden times, not as the Yuri team but against Yuri and attained badges in QM. -

Can anyone explain what that means to us mere mortals?! P. S.: I have decrypted mix files through some sort of "known plaintext" attacks before. P. P. S.: I'd also not really consider it "encryption". I mean you can easily "decrypt" it without knowing any sort of key, so does the game. -

Olaf's code is quite amazing. I like how he has shit for every file format you could possibly encounter. But what about: // Check flags with 0xFE mask to ensure only checking for compression type bit. // Bit 1 signifies stereo audio case 1: return (m_header.flags & 0xFE) == 0; case 0x63: return (m_header.flags & 0xFE) == 2; } Why not: // Check flags with 0xFE mask to ensure only checking for compression type bit. // Bit 1 signifies stereo audio case 1: return !(m_header.flags & 2); case 0x63: return m_header.flags & 2; } And since he already has a function for that: // Check flags with 0xFE mask to ensure only checking for compression type bit. // Bit 1 signifies stereo audio case 1: return get_cb_sample() == 1; case 0x63: return get_cb_sample() == 2; } Assuming you don't know the meaning of the remaining 6 bits and you're only checking for the 2nd. Also, where did you get ra2_names.h and ra2_names.cpp? I like those! I'm assuming Olaf left those out because of people like me? And your shit wasn't compiling without?! -
Oh, honey. I'm not the one with 5000+ useless posts. What's your motive for being so hostile towards me? I didn't do anything to you, now, did I? Because you go around the forums calling me out on random things and as always, you're wrong: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=5883.msg43945#msg43945 I think you have serious a problem.

A 24-bit signed integer can only hold 8,388,607 and not 140,724,603,453,440 or 140,733,193,388,032. Hence my original comment about the latter values not making any kind of sense as a money value. In other words a 24-bit signed integer can only hold 7FFFFF and not 7FFF00000000, as you claim. BTW, Nyerguds, here's what zzattack says (guy who made the map renderer): Owned. Take that as a lesson learned.

On maps where something like that is useful, namely Isle of War it is extremely hard for Yuri to scout. Yuri has the hardest time of all factions to scout the map. Besides, even if Yuri pulls an early Boomer on Isle of War an equally skilled opponent will easily smash the Yuri on land and can just move his MCV to where the Boomer can't reach, "GG". -
Thank you, Plokite_Wolf! It is all over Google, indeed. But your link is exactly what I was looking for!

Strategst, I know what a derivative is. These are the best answers. Except, I'm not sure I can simplify the limit without L'H and knowing that the derivative of e^x is e^x.

Yuri has by far the weakest naval. Also Yuri isn't OP as the majority of noobs want to believe. It's Allied that is OP, then comes Yuri and then Soviet.
