Congratulations on your dedication and effort in massing this excellent goldmine of all maps from throughout the years and yonder :D

If you download the entire catalog as .MIX files do you simply place them in your directory and access them via the Campaign or do they appear in the CO menu for convenient access?

Thanks for the words!

There is a zip file with all the mix files for direct access. The other zip files  contain more detailed stuff.

When you place the MIX files in the game folder (c:\westwood\c&c95\) the missions will appear in the NEW MISSIONS menu, the place you call CO menu, in code order.

Hey Solo, I just wanted to come by and thank you for this project!  It's funny, because usually I'm the one that ends up compiling such a pack.  I've made compilations of maps for so many other games (especially single player stuff for Unreal Tournament), but this time around, someone else has already done all the hard work!  You have definitely taken the time to make sure everything is in good working order.  I can tell you are very thorough.  I am usually annoyed at how sloppy and disorganized compilations can be (which is why I end up doing the work myself), but this pack is nice and neat.  I especially like that you have documented everything an an .xls file.  Great job!  I hope you will continue the work and keep adding more maps.

I've noticed there are a few larger campaigns out there that are not yet included in your pack (the largest campaigns).  Do you plan to add these?

I'll be having some fun playing through these maps!  :)

Hi Lightning,

thanks for the words! I've used the organization of these maps to learn mapmaking for TD. Yet, I have made only one SP mission so far, but there are more coming.

I love Excel, I've been using it for some time now, it's very practical when you have some skill.

The *.xls inside the zip files helped me a lot avoiding stress and errors on auditing triggers and teamtypes.

Yes, it's on my plans since the beggining. We had a problem related to MIX file coding so the campaigns and the mini-campaigns couldn't be stored in a large interval (from 100 to 899). So the large campaigns are planned to be the last ones. I've released only one fan-made large SP campaign - Wounded Eagle. Yet, there are 2 maps there corrupted, but I released anyway. The campaigns must be around 10 for the large ones (from 4 missions to 15) and another 10 to the minis (up to 3 missions)

A tip:

In the Mission.Index.xls you will find some stats (number of units, structures, triggers and teamtypes). Avoid missions with less than 3 triggers and or teamtypes. After I release everything, I'll put my hands on most of these ones to "reform" them setting up more triggers and teamtypes.

A request:

My weakness in this project are the late game errors and crashes. I assure all missions running, but some of them might have problems late in game. It won't be much, but If that happens to you, take note o f the message and the name of the mission and let me know.

Also, if you have any mission self -made or from someone else, bring it to us.

Thanks once again and best regards!

Hey Solo, thanks for the response in regards to the large campaigns.  I just now tried playing Wounded Eagle for a bit, and noticed that the build level was incorrect in mission 2.  I imagine it wasn't supposed to be this way originally, since it was a replacement for the GDI campaign.  I think you are only supposed to be able to build ground troops in the second mission, but I could build everything from Orcas to Mammoth tanks, and use the Ion Cannon.  Can this be fixed?

Oh, and no - I have not created any scenarios; at least not yet.  This is actually the first time I've even played user-made maps!  I might create a scenario eventually. :)
