Plokite_Wolf Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I am unable to run TS in CnCNet, it gives me a black screen, and if I alt-tab out and in, I get the screen you see in the attachment. I have HyperPatch 0.2 and ddwrapper, but I don't see why ts-spawn would go wild on them. The issue persists even after reinstalling.
Tore Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Do you have Scorpia9a's wsock32.dll in your folder? ts-spawn.exe is based on HyperPatch 0.2 and ddwrapper is included with the config tool so that's no problem.
Plokite_Wolf Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 I shouldn't, I made a fresh install less than half an hour ago, I don't have anything except HyperPatch 0.2, ddwrapper and CnCNet 5.0
Tore Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 What happens when you run ts-spawn.exe directly?
Tore Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I guess you installed TS from the original CD's. ts-spawn.exe is No CD and requires files from the CD's being in the directory the game is ran from. I uses Nyerguds' No CD patch so I think it is reversible.
Plokite_Wolf Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Then say so... Which files exactly?
Tore Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 TS needs to have a bunch of files present so it doesn't complain. They can be dummy mix files and thus not the real full ones if you want to save disc space. x means any number. movies0x.mix maps0x.mix sidecdx.mix speechx.mix scores.mix (use FS one if you want all music) multi.mix (contains maps, use FS file if you want all maps for the ingame menu, otherwise CnCNet downloads them it it's own) e01scd0x.mix expand01.mix (not sure if FS installs this to disk)
Iran Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Sorry, I didn't know the No-CD was hard-coded into the EXE I'm using.
Iran Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Okay I've written some no-CD code now, it needs to be tested and added to the next CnCNet 5 update.
