Karpet Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Topic is self explanatory. I need a RA download where I can use Jungle, Desert, and Winter theaters without crashing, as the 145 mb Iran installer doesn't have it (at least I've observed anyways, a winter theater map crashed anytime actual terrain was made). Can anyone here help me out?
Allen508 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Desert and Winter where added quite some time ago. R80 and R82 are the only ones I know of that have Jungle. I'll attach a copy of RA95.exe version R82. RA95_R82.zip
Karpet Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 I still crash. Any downloads where I can get jungle.mixes and the desert and winter ones?
FunkyFr3sh Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 im not sure if there is an .exe that supports all the one on cncnet supports desert and winter if i remember right
Allen508 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 The RA95.exe I attached supports Desert, Winter and Jungle. If you need the mixes I will try to get the attached soon.
Allen508 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Here are Desert, Winter and Jungle. FunkyFr3sh you may want to grab the Desert and Winter as they have been updated to fix the water colors probs and Desert now has Tschokky much nicer shores, bridges and rivers. RA1_Des_Jun_Win.zip
Karpet Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 I added mixes to my RA folder and I still crash the instruction at 005e65dc referenced memory at 005e65dc the memory could not be written I also used jungle when I got the crash...
Allen508 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Are you trying to play online? CnCNet 5 will not let you use this .exe and will replace it on start up.
Allen508 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Make sure you are using the right .exe The version is listed on the ingame main menu it should be V3.03P R82.
Allen508 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Maybe something in the map is wrong. Attach it.
Karpet Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 Hmm, and what would that be? I just want to make good jungle maps.
Allen508 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Don't know yet. I'm looking but it is the map it self. Something is wrong with it...
Allen508 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I win! Your missing NewINIFormat=3 in the [basic] part of the map. Add NewINIFormat=3 below Player=USSR in the [basic] part of the map and the map should work fine.
Allen508 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I had to copy the [basic] from a working mission to find it. With out NewINIFormat=3 ALL theaters and ALL maps will crash both .mpr and .ini maps need NewINIFormat=3. Surprised RAED didn't add it as well....
Karpet Posted October 2, 2014 Author Posted October 2, 2014 Yeah, it's kind of odd. So now I'll just remember to check if it has that every time I make a new map.
Allen508 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 When you make a new map in RAED it will set up the [basic] as .mpr [basic] Name=New Map NewINIFormat=3 .ini missions have a buch more keys. Maybe when you copy and pasted the keys for a .ini mission you missed the NewINIFormat=3 key.
Messiah Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Did you check out my campaign? The Teslacopter mission is jungle and should work fine since update to V2.04. edit: ah didn't see there is a 2nd page
Allen508 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 How come RAED didn't add the key? It set the basic .mpr [basic] Name=New Map NewINIFormat=3 but if you delete any keys it won't add them back. I thought that NewINIFormat=3 would be added back by RAED as it is needed. Also what dose NewINIFormat=3 do/mean?
Iran Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 NewINIFormat= controls the way the game reads the map, primarily the MapPack stuff and Overlay stuff (the parts which are different from C&C95).
