ShadowDog
2 things. First off, why isn't Impatience listed? Can someone contact Kilkakon? Second off, TD MP Map Archive. I've figured out how PHP works, and I'm trying out some things I've wanted to do for a long time. One of which is the Supplementary Let's Plays Archive (I doubt anyone here is interested in LPing, so I won't go over that), the other of which is making a CnC map archive. For right now I'm sticking with TD Multiplayer maps because of this thread, but eventually I'll expand it to include singleplayer and RA maps. Does anyone want to demonstrate some of these maps? I know godly-cheese has already done so for a couple of maps. PM me if you're interested in helping with the archive. Does anyone have any suggestions? The project's only 6.64kb at the moment, so I'm not too worried about things being too complex to add new features.
Nyerguds
Can you make it list the map numbers? That's sort of the point of this list
ShadowDog
Shoot. I put that in the coding, but forgot to make it accessible. ?sort=1 does that, but I'll add in a checkbox. Edit: 16 minutes later, I've added the checkbox at the bottom of the page with the search options and made it so it's possible to set the map's thread just like how you could already set the number of players and "Map Genre/Type" (ex. Standard, Crate, etc.). Click click the asterisk at the right of the box. Edit 2: I was suddenly inspired to add the ability to download maps to the site. A little over half an episode later, the code's done. You can now download all the MP maps from TD, and the Covert Ops maps will follow in a moment. Unfortunately, I need the files for the rest of the maps. So I'm off to download stuff (which will also fill out those threads I've been wanted to look up). I'll make a new post when I've done that (and ask Tore to put it on the front page). BTW, the TD logo next to a map's name means that it's a link to the thread, not a page on the TDMMA. Since I haven't made any pages for maps yet, it's next to all pages with hyperlinked names. Edit 3: All stock TD/CO maps are 4 player, right? Edit 4: I really can not find any of cncNetServer's maps (Tiberian Forest, Garden of Eden, Islands in the Snow, and Delta Ridges). If any of you guys have them, could you attach them? Also, what should we do with these maps: http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=467 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=705 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=734 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=822 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1004 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1013 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1065 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1536 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1537 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1538 http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=1585 Also, I capitalized "Snow" in one of the maps and changed "Village of the Forgiven" to "Village of the Forgotten". Two of the 5 player maps were marked as 6 player, and that's been fixed as well. 2 of the maps were in the opposite slots, so I changed thieer filenames around so they were rightside round. I've seen LANPlayers in one map and Players in another? Nyerguds, which one should we use?
ShadowDog
I now officially have all the maps. cncNetServer's maps were removed from the list because he revoked them. As such, slots 31-34 are open again. Hi, I revoked my maps because cheese's maps that followed up were much better. I have no plans to make them available again. Nyerguds
1.06c revision 2 will finally support the "Players=" tag under [basic], meaning you can finally limit the number of players in a map More info in the 1.06 dev forum, here: http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=13910&view=findpost&p=193571 In related news, only waypoints below 12 (so 0-11) are used as start locations now, meaning the higher ones can potentially be used for multiplayer scripting
pichorra
Mine maps already had it. so, i'm okay. Wait, now we can sucefully get Co-operative maps?
Nyerguds
Well, it's a first step anyway. There's still other problems, like the fact all preplaced units going to Hunt right away, but yes, it might be worth experimenting with multiplayer scripting now
Nyerguds
Looks like another small optimization makes the Players= tag completely obsolete... the game now simply counts the amount of valid waypoints under #
Chubfish
Old but I didn't notice someone posted about my maps. Were they being used for anything? Or is this thread obsolete lol.
Ferret
No, it's still going. In fact, that reminds me. scm56ea - Joust (2P) Whatever number "Xel'Naga Caverns" is. It's now renamed to "Adjacent Battles (6P)".
Nyerguds
You renamed it? Then you should all collectively kick that quote of mine out of your signatures Old but I didn't notice someone posted about my maps. Were they being used for anything? Or is this thread obsolete lol. The plan is to make one big 'official' CnCNet map pack, but so far I haven't taken the effort to actually collect all the maps and make the pack -_-
