Hi guys,

 

Tried the search option.

Found some threads about it but without answers.

 

Is there a way to limit the units that you can build in a game?

 

Like this:

I found this part in a .yrm file.

But i wonder if there is a easier way to see to change all of the units instead of typing this list.

Wait, you mean a global limit on all units? Not per type?

 

I know RA1 has that, but unfortunately it's not per house, so whoever spams the most units deprives the other players of the ability to build.

I meant a limit for each map, for every player, per unit.

 

Like max 10 rocketeers

Max 3 discs,

Max 3 kirovs.

 

It lags a lot if people keep building air units.

And it makes the game too easy.

You should be able to cap the max number of units by the BuildLimit= key. It is the only way to put a cap on the number of a single unit that can be made.

Dose something like

 

[Multi1]

MaxUnit=150

MaxInfantry=150

MaxBuilding=150

 

Not work in RA1? I never tested this but Max*****= are seen in the first few missions for both sides.

Just out of curiosity, is there a number of units that makes the engine crash? I know that SC1 has that (reachable with Overlords).

They got that fixed later on.

 

But having a personal max on any unit.

I know it is possible with Tibed. Where is once put a max on every unit.

But I don't know if it would be supported in multiplayer. Would be cool though.

Late reply, but how did they fix that? Is there a cap on the number of Overlords?

There is a total maximum of 1650 entities for all units for all players. This includes Overlords. This excludes structures.
