TaxOwlbear
As per title: When I set DrawEntireTerrain to 'Yes', I can't start the game. Any reason why? I wanted to change that because I changed the camera height and now get "empty" space at the edge of the screen.
SiRaLeX
I have no idea what I'm talkin' 'bout, but what are your computer specifications? Especially memory and graphics memory wise?

SiRaLeX
That's a decent set-up, mate! I have no idea why it doesn't work.
TaxOwlbear
Funny enough, it works with Zero Hour, where that value is defined on the .config file. Maybe Generals just doesn't allow for this to be changed in general (no pun intended).
sgtmyers88
@TaxOwlBear didn't realize we had nearly identical setups. lol Minus me having 32GB of ram and an older nVidia video card. lol As for the code that is contained in gamedata.ini, there is a lot of residual code leftover from the old beta of Generals. I have played with that stuff a lot. That and the reflective water is old code which I have come to conclude EA intentionally hacked up and removed other elements to prevent modders such as myself from using it which of course results in game crashes. Hence the alternative methods I made myself for the TDR mod.
TaxOwlbear
He, great gamer build alike! I found a solution BTW: You can't change that in the BIG file directly; the code has to be extracted. I was told that's because changing 'No' to 'Yes' adds a letter and the game doesn't like that.
Nyerguds
If the parsing of booleans there is still the same leftover from Dune II times, it might just check the first letter only, and "Ya" should work
