    Bug tracker

Thanks for submitting this, it shouldn't effect starting positions in game, just the preview is skewed.
  2. Can you both try separate games using CnCNet (with just an AI) to see if the problem is related to one of yours setup. Otherwise could you both provide the Operating system you use?
  3. Hello - what are you having trouble with exactly?
  4. Hello everyone, Today we have just released a new update, which will be applied when you next launch CnCNet YR. The small update includes: - Option to choose which port to connect through. - Removal of NET 4 requirement Many thanks to Rampastring, FunkyFr3sh, tomsons26 and hifi for overseeing the update. We will continue to address remaining issues in the coming weeks (We're aware this is a minor update) If you have any problems relating to the update, please report to us in our forums. Thank you!
  5. You're using windows 8, you will most likely need this file in your game directory where CnCNet is installed. Try dropping this into your game directory, try a skirmish game (with just you and the AI), and toggle videobackbuffer in the client settings to see the best performance for you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/x10hvfosgn0k0mp/ddraw.dll?dl=0
  6. Ah brilliant. Are you still having lag trouble? Thank you we'll push an update to fix this soon.
  7. Hello - firstly sorry for the inconvenience its causing. If giving the Settings.ini full administrator permissions is not working, as a temporary workaround not clicking "OK" when the error message comes up will not close the client. We are already aware of the issue, and It's in our tracker to be fixed on the next update.
  8. What errors occurred? That file shouldn't interfere with the client at all.
  9. Try dropping this into your game directory, try a skirmish game (with just you and the AI), and toggle videobackbuffer in the client settings to the best performance for you. https://www.dropbox.com/s/x10hvfosgn0k0mp/ddraw.dll?dl=0
  10. Which operating system? Is your connection speed OK? http://www.speedtest.net/
  11. Hey there welcome, Yuri's Revenge is available to play online already. See this link: http://cncnet.org/yuris-revenge

    Help

Hello - change the port in pre-connect menu to 443, or 8000
  13. 3 duplicates - don't spam please.
  14. Any more lately, I haven't been able to check ?
  15. Make sure you have this dll in your game directory: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x10hvfosgn0k0mp/ddraw.dll?dl=0
  16. We've found the problem and will hopefully be releasing an update to patch this soon.
  17. What antivirus are you using? It could be blocking from downloading new files.
  18. Welcome both!
  19. Hi no thats fine. We don't want that file in your game directory - sometimes its used for other network to connect you. You can take that file out of your directory. Do you have any firewalls or antivirus software preventing your game files from working correctly? Are your drivers up-to-date, network card etc?

    lag issues

Relating to the server issue: It could be that the tunnel servers are not being auto-selected by ping, instead by distance. Iran is to investigate the lag issue further when he gets to it though so we'll wait for that result too.

    lag issues

The best way to check yourself for lag is to test skirmish, whilst toggling the settings such as videobackbuffer. 1 - make a game with an AI. Play it, go to speed options and put speed to fastest. 2 - note the speed, how fast are buildings being built? 3 - exit, toggle the videobackbuffer and repeat the same to see if there is a difference. Also since you're on XP, make sure you haven't got ddraw.dll in your folder. It's only really for windows >= 8
  22. If that fails maybe this can help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHqjTSI0TlY
  23. Any type of YR install is fine. To elaborate a bit more, CnCNet will automtatically detect any ra2/yr installation you already have installed on your computer. Quickfire instructions: 1). Install Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge (Skip if you have it installed already) 2). Download the installer http://yurisrevenge.com and run the setup 3). Click the CnCNet shortcut on your desktop and you're good to go!
  24. Hey there, can you check to see if you have this file in your game directory? wsock32.dll
