You could save yourself some trouble getting that to work on normal TS and download this. It's only 153 MB, and you can save a lot of time by unchecking "download the movies" during the installation process...

There is a NoCD crack around for TS, but that one screws up the videos...

Oh great! A active RA1 mod! Haven't seen those in a while.. Posted on the front page: http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=876.0

k0ct-ep has announced the development of a RA1 total conversion mod called C&C Warfare. A mod that changes the Soviets into the Russian Federation (big change eh?) and the Allies into a US - European alliance (this still sounds familiar). So head over to the announcement topic! and here is a picture of the work they have done so far:

C&C Communications Center second on CNC Top 101?
Tore replied to Ferret's topic in General Discussion
What kind of website is that? I've only heard of http://ra.afraid.org/ -
The sites bandwidth usage have been huge this month, and it might exceed the new bandwidth limit! If it does exceed the limit again I will acquire some more bandwidth and possibly figure out a solution to this problem. And talking about bandwidth, it seems like our friends over at CnCWorld.org are struggling as well.

The server is having some problems with MySQL, it should be over now. Moved to repair bay

C&C Communications Center second on CNC Top 101?
Tore replied to Ferret's topic in General Discussion
It's adopted from the Red Alert Archives' "Red Alert shall never die, only the players.." -
EA posting about the Tiberian Sun installation pack on facebook caused the website to exceed its bandwidth limit. But now it's back, at least for the time being, the limit might be exceeded again!

Lion the webmaster of the long running C&C sites CNCDEN and RADEN has announced that he is retiring from his post as webmaster of the DEN sites. I on behalf of the Command & Conquer Communications Center, wish him good luck in his future endeavors. The future of the DEN sites are uncertain..

Help Re: The First Decade - Generals - Windows 7
Tore replied to Mithrane's topic in Newer C&C games
For Generals just copy and rename the ZH folder. As for this issue: This cannot be prevented some computers seem to be unable to create this folder properly. -

This sounds like the "unable to create a folder in documents" error. Try extracting the attached folder in to your Documents folder. Command_and_Conquer_Generals_Zero_Hour_Data.rar -

What happens when you try to start Generals ZH? -
First of all you want to update your posts or add new information use the "edit" button, don't double post! Have you tried running the game as administrator? Right click -> Run as Administrator In case that doesn't work I'll check if the download has somehow become corrupted. When I used Vista RA95 ran perfectly when I used Windows 98/Me compatibility mode and run as administrator, this even works in Windows 7 64-bit
-
Try running the game in Windows 98/Me compatibility mode.

MrFlibble try refreshing the pages a few times, or refreshing your cache. I have no idea what to do with the gallery though, for everyone else it seems to be fine.

These maps look great

During the last few weeks I've been improving the site. There are not many changes but they are noticeable: The downloads system have been reorganized. It now shows the individual game at the index. Many of the broken images in the gallery have been fixed. There are still broken pictures lying around though. The gallery has also been updated to the latest version. There have been some improvements to the guides page. It shows what games the guides are for in a better way. Some guides have been updated and some have been split. Minor improvements to the main page. Most noticeably the featured section. Minor improvements to the games page. Improvements to the navigation menus. Many of the dropdown menus now links game categories instead of single pages. Minor spell check across the pages New button graphics for Quote, Edit, Quick Edit, Delete and Split There are also other things I've done but they are not worth noting.

Is your computer a brand computer? (Dell, Acer, HP etc.) If so try uninstalling all toolbars, docks etc that was preinstalled. And you could try changing the resolution the games use. Go to the games' folders and find ccsetup.exe (C&C1) and rasetup.exe (RA) in the C&C1 and RA1 directories and change the resolution.

C&C series Warz: Spiltt from favorite track from Frank/Jarrid topic
Tore replied to Ferret's topic in General Discussion
Splitt from What is your favorite track from Frank Klepacki/Jarrid Mendelson? -
Weird, I have Windows 7 64-bit and all C&C games works perfectly for me. Try updating DirectX to the latest version. Also try updating the graphics card driver for your computer. As for the virus/trojan alerts installing the TFD 1.03 they are false positives and can be safely ignored. And remember to set compatibility mode to Windows 98/Me on RA95.exe and C&C95.exe.

I have no idea if the RA 3.03 problem on XWIS will be fixed. But you can join the discussion on the XCC forums. Olaf Van Der Spek, the creator and manager of XWIS are usually there. XWIS means the XCC WOL IRC Server. Which in turn means the "Extended Command & Conquer Westwood Online Internet Relay Chat Server" Quite a mouthful isn't it?

8 is the maximum amount players you can have. This includes AI players. So you can be 6 players and 2 AI, 1 player and 7 AI 2 players and 6 AI etc. as long as it becomes 8 "players" I've confirmed this several times, the problem lies with the XWIS itself.

Browser Warz: Splitt from the CnCNet on Linux topic
Tore replied to Tore's topic in General Discussion
If you want to argue about web-browsers take it to the browser warz topic. As for this topic, make it about the improvements you see in this pre-alpha version of IE9 over older IE versions. Or else I'll just merge ths with the browser warz topic.
