Nyerguds has been working on 1.06c a lot in the past months and has worked up a large changelog. The most notable change is the removal of the funpark mode. The Dinosaur missions will get their own link in the New Missions menu using 1.06c's all new mini-campaign system. This also means that mini campaigns with up to 10 missions can now be created! Parts of the changelog that are of particular interest: Added numbers before the multiplayer game mode, so people see there are 4 of them (for example: "[2/4] Capture The Flag") Fixed the firing sound of the SAM site The steel crate pickup animation now plays for both sides The computer opponent can no longer capture your Advanced Communications Center The Advanced Communications Center is no longer capturable in multiplayer games Dinosaur campaigns added as two mini-campaigns (one for GDI, one for Nod), and put at the top of the New Missions list Mission-specific house colour changes, controlled with ini keys in the mission file There are a lot more changes in 1.06c; those listed are just a few I thought people might be interested in. Read the full changelog here.

As far as I know CnCNet does not work on Linux, any mention of it working on Linux is outdated and experimental... And I didn't know it even ran on Linux, because it requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher..

I've never heard of this game called "Tiberium Dawn" can you tell me more about it? But I guess you have never heard of "Tiberian Dawn" either. There are many good mods like Tiberium Essence and Tiberium Wars Advanced for C&C3 that adds elements from the previous games. And if you think more in the lines of remaking the old games there are the Tiberian Dawn mod for C&C3 and Tiberian Sun Rising And uhmm what do you mean "modding Tiberian Dawn"? the only C&C1 mods I know of is the Flame Dancers and C&C Meets Star Wars...

Yes many virus scanners doesn't like funpark.exe, but this will be solved in 1.06c.

After a long time the game info pages have been "completed". The latest additions are the Sole Survivor page and the Tiberian Sun page. They and the others can be accessed from "The Games" section on the navigation menu. The current pages are now: Command & Conquer Red Alert Sole Survivor Tiberian Sun Dune series

As far as I can remember the German versions of C&C1, RA and TS had androids instead of humans and oil instead of blood. Voices where "robotized" and the squishing sound when people were ran over was replaced with the sound of a metal can popping open.

This map looks interesting and original! A breath of fresh air. And welcome Kilkakon!

Sometimes the NAT error message is a little faulty but it is correct most of the time. Make sure port 8054 is correctly forwarded to your computer using the UDP protocol.

[......] Blizzard, and several other commercial game developers are screwing the customer once again with mediocre, overpriced products [......] I see how EA fits in to this category, but Blizzard? I think not. Blizzard always takes their time to create high quality products, bugs and other issues at release in Blizzards games are minimal. But I agree that restrictive DRM sucks, I like the old combination of CD key and disk check. In the 1990'es developers and publishers where much opener. Westwood made multiplayer between people possible with only one copy of a game, it was even part of their marketing "Another disk for you are your friends to destroy each other" this even applied to one disk games like Dune 2000. Even Blizzard allowed this too, you could use one copy of StarCraft for a local 6 player game using spawned installs and as far as I can remember you can even do this with WarCraft 3. Many new PC games today require a constant internet connection, it isn't only Blizzard and EA who plans to do this other publishers such as Ubisoft, SEGA, THQ, Activision have all released games with restrictive DRM schemes. I'm happy that there still is honest and great developers and publishers out there like Good old Games they sell old games cheap and DRM free and they have a lot of extra content and compatibility with newer systems. Bohemia Interactive are also great, they listen to their fans and the latest patch for their newest game removed the little DRM the game had (which was a simple disk check). As you see real game developers still exist as for the 2nd definition of communism that is what it became in real life, corrupted and twisted by power hungry leaders. They wanted to achieve a system of trust and equality after being abused for years by a totalitarian capitalist regime. This post has little to do with Tiberian Dawn Redux Unstickied and moved to the Barracks

CnCNet will be down for for the rest of the evening for some maintenance, and I hear there is a small patch coming soon!
-
Uh oh, I see the old CnCNet icon! Download the newest version from the CnCNet website. The old versions with the communications center icons doesn't work.
-
What the hell has this to do with communism? It sound more like capitalism for me. As for StarCraft 2, I don't think Blizzard is milking the StarCraft Universe. Consider this: Blizzard announced SC2 in 2007 and they have been working on it for a long time before that. There has been 3 years SC2 was announced and Blizzard is still working on it I think this shows that Blizzard really cares about their game as they always do. Blizzard wants StarCraft 2 to be perfect! As for StarCraft 2's modability have you seen the [noembed]StarCraft 2 Galaxy Editor[/noembed]?

Nice screenshots are they from the last mission?

Next time be more descriptive when asking for help. This seems like a port forwarding issue, you will have to forward these ports to your PC: 1234-1237,3840,4000,4005,4808,4810,4995,5400,7000-7002 For a full guide look up your router and then Tiberian Sun at www.portforward.com
