I just got a quite large Email from the people at www.cncsolesurvivor.com, these people are doing whatever they can in reviving the almost forgotten C&C Sole Survivor. So if you want to play Command & Conquer Sole Survivor online again show your support and donate to them!

Download the Red Alert 3.03 patch and use the integrated internet menu it includes, there is no need to use Westwood Chat to play RA1 online. As for registering on Wchat, just write a nickname and a password in the log in box are you are automatically registered. There is no need to register on ANY XWIS online service. (XWIS now manages Westwood Online because the orginal Westwood Online servers was shutdown in 2003)

N3tRunn3r's C&C1 Mappack - Latest Update: 2013-08-26 V1.02
Tore replied to N3tRunn3r's topic in C&C Multiplayer Maps
Because this map pack contains many nice maps and is updated often, I have decided to spotlight it! -
I thought it was time for a Red Alert map for a change. The English Channel is a big Red Alert map which is sepparated by a large body of water "The English Channel" this map is made for multiplayer because the AI is too stupid to make ships. This map was never supposed to be released to the public, but I now decided that it's best to make it public. TheEnglishChannel.7z

This is old news now but I kept forgetting to post it. Nyerguds' 1.06 patch project was featured on EA's battlecast primetime show last weekend in "APOC's community corner". so head over to CommandAndConquer.com and see the video. (for those who want just to hear what APOC has to say, it's about in the middle of the show.)

You are improving, but I suggest posting sepperate topics for each map (to keep it more organized)

It's now at 10233! Now what should be the next target; 100000?

C&C Onslaught is a campaign created by OmegaBolt, he has already released three nicely scripted missions! Check out his topic by clicking here!

The map could need a little more detail but it looks nice. I see no starting locations, it would be a good idea add starting locations.

C&C Comm Center has a nice little guide page click here so check it out. If you need help with any of these guides use the forum.

This will help you with some questions about maps and map packs. What is a map? A map is a mission or theater of battle if you like. In Command & Conquer a map is two files; a BIN file and a INI file both of these files are needed for the map to work. Since C&C1 maps are two files people tend to put these maps in a MIX file to make them more organized. Maps in Tiberian Sun and Red Alert are only one file; a MPR file for multiplayer maps and skirmish (and MAP for TS singleplayer maps). Types of Maps Singleplayer; These are Missions where you complete objecives like in the campaigns. Multiplayer; Skirmish and maps that can be played with other players [Additional info: The .BIN file of a map contains terrain information (rivers, hills etc.) and the .INI file contains units, buildings, trees, mission triggers, the mission briefing, the map name, etc.] What is a map pack? A map pack is a ZIP or RAR file full of maps, the contents of the file can be loose BIN or INI files or just a MIX file which contains the BIN and INI files. If I have a map or map pack and I try to play it with someone else I get a "scenario not found!" error. The other player must have the same map as you or else you cannot use that map. I get a "scenario don't match" error. This is because either you or the other player is using an edited or old version of the map. Do maps or map packs cause waiting for connections or out of sync errors? If you are playing an official map such as Green Acres (C&C1), A Path Beyond (RA1) or Grand Canyon (TS) then having different map packs or maps doesn't cause any errors. How to play a map C&C1: Extract the BINs and INIs or the MIX from the ZIP or RAR file into the folder where your game is installed Examples (default folder): C:\Westwood\C&C95 The First Decade examples (default folder): C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun and Red Alert: Extract the MPR (or MAP) file(s) (and other required files) in to your TS or RA folder. Example (default folder): C:\Westwood\RED ALERT C:\Westwood\SUN The First Decade example (default folder): C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert

This map pack contains two missions: The River The Heat From the readme: Tore’s Singleplayer map pack Instructions: Put the files of this zip file in your C&C1 folder. To play start C&C1 and click on new missions. The River (GDI mission) Briefing: Commander we have uncovered a Nod base in Germany, your orders are to destroy this Nod base and eliminate all Nod forces in this area. Destroy Nod SAM sites to get air support. The Heat (Nod mission) (beta version) Briefing: Commander, there is a Nod base in central Africa that is under heavy attack by GDI and local militia. Your mission is to "save" the pinned down Nod forces and purge this area clean of those who oppose Kane's words. Oh by the way commander there are some captured Nod SAMs in the village, destroy them and the Brotherhood can provide you with Air strikes! Go to www.cnc-comm.com for more maps for classic C&C games! Visit N3tRunn3r’s nice C&C site as well www.red-alert.net/n3trunn3r Have fun! SCTORESP.zip

To change the port used by CnCNet go to the folder where you installed CnCNet and open cncNet.xml with notepad. There you will find "<port>8054</port>" and change it to what port you want. I'm unsure if changing the port CnCNet uses will cause problems. EDIT: Changing this setting WILL break CnCNet functionality, do NOT do it.

I have been thinking, whould you like a competition hosted by C&C Comm Center? Revolutionay came with some ideas you can see below. If C&C Comm Center would ever host a competition, there is the question of prizes. Likely it wil be just like we say it in Norway "honor and glory". But if anyone wants to donate some prizes which C&C Comm Center can send to it's winner(s) it would be appreciated. If you would like a competition feel free to post your ideas in this topic or give me a PM.

Why not convert c&c95 units, construction, in 3D?
Tore replied to pichorra's topic in Modding Discussion
This is impossible with C&C95. [Moved to contruction yard] -
1.06b works better than 1.06a. Do you use a branded computer? (for example Acer, HP etc)

Someone known where i download c&c for playstation?
Tore replied to pichorra's topic in General Discussion
EA released C&C95 as freeware, not all versions of C&C1.
