It's not being concerned that it was edited to be compatible with TS, the problem is that it was an exclusive asset taken without permission. If you'd have just asked instead of helping yourself "assuming nobody would care" there would never have been a problem. Since when was it okay to just take custom assets from mods without giving any credit where it is due or at least asking first? Thanks for the response and the removal anyway. All I ask is that, in future, TI staff are contacted instead of just having it's assets ripped.

Hello everybody. I haven't been active in the Command & Conquer community for some time, it's nice to see that it is still thriving and that there is plenty of online activity, with that being said, a friend of mine has brought something to my attention that I wanted to query with the current staff. In the Tiberian Sun Client there appear to be some maps that are being used that were maps that I had initially made exclusively for Twisted Insurrection. Some of these maps started off as remakes of maps from other games like Red Alert 2 such as the ones titled Rocky Road, Twinside and Redemption. I am not particularly bothered about these for the reasons stated earlier, despite the fact that they were remade from the ground up, but they are still shamelessly pulled from Twisted Insurrection with minor edits to make them compatible with Tiberian Sun, they even use the same alternative name that I gave them as opposed to the names of the maps they were based on which shows they were directly taken from the mod. My main gripe is that there is also the map Vinifera Valley which has been a Twisted Insurrection exclusive map that I created quite some time ago. It appears that it is in circulation at the moment as part of an official update to the Tiberian Sun Client , yet, no credit is given to myself or to Twisted Insurrection itself for use of the map anywhere as far as I can tell. I have checked with the active members of the Twisted Insurrection team as of the moment and, as far as we know, nobody asked permission to use these maps and no credit has been given. May I ask why this is and what has happened here? Thanks.

Twisted Insurrection 0.6 Trailer (Click image to watch the trailer on YouTube) Release Date: November Twisted Insurrection is a standalone game based on a heavily modified Tiberian Sun engine. The game features a completely new in-depth storyline which puts you in an alternate timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod were victorious during the first Tiberian War rather than GDI. Along with the complete overhaul and replacing of the original game's graphics, gameplay and having it's own all new original soundtrack, Twisted Insurrection brings you an entirely new arsenal of units, infantry, aircraft and naval forces to command as either the Brotherhood of Nod or GDI in massive singleplayer or online multiplayer battles. The Twisted Insurrection client allows you to play your own way featuring hundreds of possible option combinations, preset locations and alliances and customisable themes. The game also features multiple full length campaigns for Nod, GDI, & the new GloboTech faction. Play over 50 brand new campaign missions and try your hand at challenge modes, our own reimagining of the Tiberian Dawn (Twisted Dawn as we like to call it) campaigns and more. The fate of the Earth lies dangerously unknown. Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander. - To keep up with development and for much more information about Twisted Insurrection, be sure to follow us around the web! ● Twisted Insurrection Website: http://twistedinsurrection.net ● Twisted Insurrection Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/TwistedInsurrection ● Twisted Insurrection ModDB: http://moddb.com/mods/twisted-insurrection ● Twisted Insurrection Twitter: http://twitter.com/TwistedIns ● Twisted Insurrection YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/c/TwistedInsurrectionOfficial ● Twisted Insurrection Forum: http://ppmsite.com/forum/index.php?f=466 ● Twisted Insurrection Steam Group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/TwistedInsurrection ● Twisted Insurrection Google+: https://plus.google.com/+TwistedInsurrectionOfficial/videos

Twisted Insurrection is up for Nomination as Mod of the Year 2012. On the behalf of the team, I apology for not promoting this earlier. Voting for MotY has been going on for close to a month now, and only 7 days and a few hours remain of the countdown! Help us get to the Top 100, and from there - maybe even reach the title of Here's a short recap of our past MotY success: In 2009, Twisted Insurrection was nominated in the Top 100 Upcoming Mods. In 2010, we released Public Beta 1, and Twisted Insurrection reached the Top 100 Released Mod Nominees. In 2011, Twisted Insurrection was voted to the Top 100 Released Mods. This year, we have released the long-awaited Public Beta 4, and while activity may seem to have slowed down since, we assure you that Twisted Insurrection has gone nowhere but forward! In addition, if you are a good boy/girl and help us reach the Top once more, expect a very merry Christmas present from us (as has been a tradition)! Without further a-do, hurry up and go to this link, scroll down and vote! Remember that you can vote for more than one Mod for Mod of the Year, released or not, so be sure to check out our affiliate pages as well! Mental Omega, Project Phantom, Robot Storm, Dawn of the Tiberium Age and D-Day.

We, the Twisted Insurrection team are very pleased to announce that our latest version, Public Beta 4 has been released! Since the Re-Issue of Public Beta 3, we have been working hard to get more of the essentials out of the way. The changelog is also very large and impressive due-to the short amount of time (In my opinion, at least) since the last release, you can view the changelog here! Public Beta 4 includes several new campaign missions (A total of 8 GDI Missions and 13 Nod missions (8 and 9 are palceholder maps) so far), several new units and unit images, new additions to our unique soundtrack, new voices, options, several new and improved maps, coding and balance changes, gameplay improvements, tons of lag reduction, the implementation of Naval units (still in heavily testing phases at the moment) and much more! Public Beta 4 is our most stable version to date as we have eradicated the source of the most common internal errors and hopefully we wont be seeing any more again (or for a long time at best). Online play is now much simpler to commence now too thanks to the new Twisted Insurrection launcher feature similar to the one used by one of our affiliate projects, The Dawn of the Tiberium Age (which we also reccomend you check out if you loved classic Tiberian Dawn!). Sadly as it is still beta, there are still several placeholder images being used, but this will not effect the game-play at all! Pretty soon we hope to get everything finished and finally come out of beta. One of our new staff members, Henskelion, is working on CGI & FMV's for future Twisted Insurrection releases which will be available as soon as posisble. If you are new to Twisted Insurrection, check out our website for more information! Download Twisted Insurrection Public Beta 4 Here! Note: There will be no Public Beta 5, only patches up to this point thanks to the Launcher feature making this easier. The next release will be Twisted Insurrection 1.0. There will be a big patch update based on Public Feedback around Xmas time, as is our tradition. Enjoy, ladies and gentlemen. We'll be looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

As the title says, We've managed to reach it into the Top 100 ModDB upcoming mods for the Mod of the year Title! Go to this link to check out the Top 100 released and upcoming mods of 2010!. Be sure to vote for Twisted Insurrection for Upcoming Mod of the Year 2010! I'm also happy to point out that this is again, the first time in History a Tiberian Sun mod has made it into the Top 100 Released mods category on ModDB, as it was the first to reach the Top 100 Upcoming mods last year, so thank you everybody for your votes and don't forget to vote again! Whilst I am making an announcement post, it's an ideal time for me to share with you what has been going on behind the scenes as It has been quiet around here for a while: - My Co-Leader, Lin Kuei Ominae had been working on some many eye-candy tests a while ago in order to improve upon some of our older tests. Some of these tests (which have turned out very successful) will be implemented into the next build for you to enjoy during the next release, which might even be an Xmas present from me to you this year. (Click on the image to view it in actual size) - As some of you may already be aware, I have posted previews of the new Trees that Mig Eater and I have been working on in the Terrain Forum, the Tiberium Flora is soon to be replaced by Droke and Myself too. If you haven't seen the tree already, here are some previews for you of the different kind of tree sets: (Click on the image to view it in actual size) Obviously, the above Image is just to show you what each tree-type is like, here is a preview of them on some of our current maps: (Click on these images to view them in actual size) - Some work from the Mapping side of the Twisted Insurrection fence, which again some of you may also be aware of. Dudeinabox and I have both made a new map each which adds to our huge Map selection variety, hopefully we will reach over 100 Maps (that's one of our main goals) before the Final Release occurs, check out these new maps in actual size by clicking on the Mini-Map previews below: - I have gotten a lot more work done on the Interior Theater, which adds a new Laboratory set and a lot more additional Eye-candy. The Interior Theater is complete as it has all it's necessary components for map-making and reasonable eye-candy, but I'll still be making more bits and pieces for it, just because I can. (Click on the image to view it in actual size) On one final note, the Twisted Insurrection Website is back up and running: Be sure to check it out! And that is all I can show for now. Be sure to keep your eyes open for many more previews to come, I promise you, there is a lot more on it's way. Vote Twisted Insurrection for Mod of the Year 2010! Twisted Insurrection will never die!

Well young sir, you have a lot to consider before you just shout things like that out in the open. Mainly that UMP and TS 2.04 are extremely different projects. TS:UMP Is a base for new Tiberian Sun mods, Tiberian Sun 2.04 is going to be an official XWIS update according to Hyper. Next time it would probably help you to have some knowledge on what you're actually talking about.

Thanks for pointing those out. UMP 2.0 Uploaded.

Joshy has recently updated the Download link for Tiberian Sun: World of Insanity. The link to the topic can be found here: Download Topic World of Insanity aims to improve several game-play factors including, a much better AI, and some improved graphics. Although this is a beta release and it is uncertain whether the project will be continued or not, you should definitely be sure to check the post and have fun trying to fend off the waves of AI units. Joshy has stated that WOI requires Firestorm and is not standalone. (WOI also no longer uses ETS)

Dry Heat: Soviet Survival, by Aro While playing some popular survival maps on Yuri's Revenge, I thought I'd make a few more but not just another one of those survival maps where wave upon wave of unstoppable units come your way. This dry heat survival idea was inspired by Dylan (Also known as Informant). What is Dry Heat: Soviet Survival? This is a modified version of the popular Yuri's Revenge map, Dry Heat which puts a single player up against a soviet computer opponent which performs many waves of attacks very similar to what professional XWIS players dish out. The human player will start on the left hand side of the map and the AI opponent will be hidden from the map, but it's waves of attacks still appear. Each wave gets harder as time goes on as you'd expect in an online game. This is intent to help the newer XWIS players get better at defending against common Drone attacks, Splits and Fodder accompanied tanks etc. Are there any changes to the map itself? Terrain and layout remains exactly the same, I have only removed Ore and Oil Dericks from the right side of the map where the computer opponent is positioned, this is to prevent people from taking an advantage of the extra resources so it's a situation like what you'd encounter on XWIS. How do I play Dry Heat: Soviet Survival? Simply download the zip file and extract it to your RA2 Directory (normally C:/Westwood/RA2/), once you've done that the map will appear in your Yuri's Revenge Skirmish maps list. The required settings for playing this map properly are as follows: - Set your player starting position to spot 1 - Make sure you chose either Allies or Soviets, this map lacks any real challenge if you chose Yuri - Set the AI's faction to Soviets (it doesn't matter what country) - Set the AI's starting location to spot 2 - Set Short Game on - Set starting units to 0 - Set Superweapons on How do I uninstall Dry Heat: Soviet Survival? Simply go to your RA2 Directory and remove the files: arosovsu.yrm and ra2md.csf What do the attacks consist of? The attacks are typical ones that will be performed by any good XWIS Soviet player (as closely imitated as possible), this includes Engineer eating dogs, conscript attacks, early drones, tank rushes, tank splits and heavy unit waves. I wont reveal all the waves. After the 8th wave (Iron curtain), I have added a few much harder waves which include a nuke strike attack, these extra waves are just a bonus to the actual map. The attacks are not 100% accurate as it's not possible to make the AI perform such human-like commands, but I've imitated them as closely as possible. I don't expect very experienced YR Soviet and Allied players to have too much of a difficult time winning the first 6 waves (even though some of the ones that have already played it have struggled many times), but if you'd like to play it and share thoughts etc. You may. Link updated: Februrary 09 2010 Download Dry Heat: Soviet Survival Good luck and have fun. - Aro

Well he gets a thumbs up from me for working so hard but the idea doesn't appeal to me at all, I'd much rather stick to the original ways, though I would kill for a larger unit cue. Having to build one unit at a time is... :ranting:

The download title and description should be much more clear than that. Most people want to know exactly what they're downloading.
