  1. This trailer is absolutely epic. Just a pity about the TS music.
  2. I got one remark... you should really center these videos in a 320x200 frame before stretching them to 320x240. They look horribly stretched now. These videos weren't made to be full screen.
  3. Not what I meant, at all... you have to make sure your user has ownership of all the files of the installed game. Vista and Win7 are known to be annoying about that from time to time.
  4. I've heard of something like this on the official board, actually... It's either related to user rights or graphical settings. Not with problems installing all components, anyway. checklist: -Are you running the game in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode? -Are you running as administrator? (right click on exe - Run as Admin) -Are you 100% sure you have ownership of all files?
  5. Merry Christmas to you all
  6. That music is awesome... sounds like a mix of the C&C music with the Dune style
  7. Eh, N3t's installer doesn't have weird non-standard colours. If you got that, you installed it yourself, and just have to remove palette.cps from the game folder.
  8. dude, seen the "Fixing Inversed Color" thread posted by pichorra in this same section? That's the problem you're talking about.
  9. I added the Purple Palettes to the general "Modding Tools" section. Could you upload the preview pic locally? There's no support for that in the upload system.
  10. Win98 should do. Starcraft has the same problem. (StarCraft.exe)
  11. Actually, the problem persists in C&C through several palette changes. Every video load, switch between theaters, main menu, they're all different palettes. They all get corrupted right away.
  12. Nice batch file, though for later-than-XP systems (on which this bug is most common), you better use Win98 compat mode.
  13. The colours have nothing to do with the installer; it's DirectX messing that up.
  14. lol. That font has a crappy X. Hamas 2009!
  15. Not sure. Just the number I think. Myg scanned the packets that sent that to the game once. But either way, the map names list in Wchat is fixed.
  16. I think you'll have to use some method to convert the path to DOS name format though; the -cd parameter doesn't seem to support paths with spaces in it, even with quotes around it. [edit] Or you just save it in the C&C folder as cncnet.ini, and start C&C with C&C95 -LAN=cncnet.ini The ini won't be read unless it's fed to the game anyway
  17. Like with the Covert Ops, only SCM??EA works currently. I might be able to change that, but the map names are read into a fixed size array of 00-99, so to expand that beyond the normal range I'll have to move the arrrays to Hyper's new section in the exe, and make sure the LAN interface actually uses the new ones.
  18. How so? I already added the -lan parameter. I know where the LAN defaults are loaded, so I can always rig those to an ini file for you if you want. I can even make sure you can give that as command line parameter behind -lan. PRetty sure I can copy the -cd ssytem, though I'd put an = between it: -lan=c:\path\inifile.ini). This way you can even keep the config ini it in the cncnet folder and just link to the full path.
  19. I can see clearly now the rain poorly set up user configuration is gone! And I'm really gonna have to give this a try. Stunning work, man
  20. Heh, I could change the numbers of the official maps to make em all start at 0 and have no gaps (like I'm doing with the Covert Ops), but that's make it thoroughly incompatible with Wchat's internal hardcoded maps list. Map name plz?
  21. pichorra... that thread my sig links to exists for a reason. Post your suggestions in there. I know the code that spawns the dinos in MP when you got Funpark enabled... pretty sure the visceroid is in there too. Multiplayer game options are still not possible though, since I don't know how to send them to the other players. The best I can do for now is make it a rules.ini option. See the 1.06b dev thread for more on that.
  22. ooh, nice!
  23. WChat makes an ini file it sends to the game somehow. I don't think it's actually saved on disk though. It's just its game setup info as ini format. Never really looked into that; WChat is one of these messy exceptions in C&C of which you see they were added afterwards. I still haven't figured out the entire way it skips the intro screens and menu. Even the -LAN option I added for cncnet can't skip the first-time game launch intro.
  24. Hmm, I think I already mentioned this somewhere before, but... Biolabs aren't capturable.
