Ooh... haven't watched that one yet. Is it any good?

Not a clue what GCSE is, but I can google

Haha, taking the "desktop" part a bit too seriously?
-
yes, the TFD version. [edit] Oh wait... now I see what your are talking about. You can skip the installation attempt of these Internet Components completely by replacing the file "RA95.LCF" in the game folder by the included "_RA95.LCF". If you already have one of the later games (TS or RA2) installed, you already got these components anyway.

If the Vikings had won, all of Europe would be speaking Norse now.

1. Don't use spaces in the names of triggers or team types. It's advised to keep your triggers around a length of 4 characters, and your teamtypes around a length of 8 characters. 2. The Win and Lose triggers should not be in the celltriggers list. Only "Player Enters" triggers can be in that list. 3. "strt", which IS a Player Enters trigger, does NOT have celltriggers linked to it. 4. Your Win and Lose triggers are switched. You say that you win if all GDI are destroyed, and lose if all Nod are destroyed, but it is a mission for GDI. The house side specified in a trigger is NOT who gets the effect, it is who CAUSES the trigger to activate. "Win" and "Lose" are ALWAYS for the player. 5. That nuke will be shot at you right after you start the game. That time is NOT in minutes, it's in C&C's own internal timer, which is closer to seconds. Look at the original missions to see how much they usually give nukes (usually, around 200-300) 6. "Time" triggers are a bit odd... they don't always work unless you link them to the player side. Again, this has NO EFFECT on who gets the result. The only parameter that can be given to the trigger action is the teamtype. It's best to check this in the original missions. After all, the nukes work there 7. If you give a trigger with celltriggers the "1" status at the end, that means that the trigger (in your case, "strt" which starts production) will ONLY be started after EVERY CELL with this trigger has been activated. So don't do that unless you really mean to. This is the kind of system that gives the GDI player in the campaign the Airstrike only after all SAMs are destroyed.

Meh. Until it offers a good way to integrate the vids, I'm not using FullRA+.

That's what I'm saying. Hyper said TimeQuake is listed in the superweapons in RA1, and is linked to the MAD tank.

Yeeah... you have to spin kittens until the fur has all been torn off, and then throw them into the Hell Barbecue And you get cool bonuses

My games Have been playing Little Big Adventure again lately, and due to its annoying save system (it can't be saved manually; it just auto-saves whenever you enter a new zone) I copy the savegame to a backup location after every important event ingame. That's why there's a folder with "savegames" there; to keep em handy if I need to restore an older savegame. "Cacodemon's Barbecue Party In Hell" is pretty much "NEDM: The Game". You can download it here http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/junk/cacodemon.zip (7.5 mb) My current high score is 199.375, btw. Try to beat it As for the third one... if you honestly don't know Jazz Jackrabbit, then dammit, go and get it! It's one of the classic games from Epic before they started with the Unreal games. (this is JJ2, btw)

That's the Chrono Vortex, not the Time Quake. According to Hyper, the Time Quake is connected to the Aftermath MAD tank. I remember that in multiplayer it only has a local effect, but in single player (see mission "Absolute MADness"), it damages all buildings and vehicles on the entire map to 1/3rd of their health. Apparently, this IS the Time Quake effect.

Tiberian Dawn - Tiberium Village (4P)
Nyerguds replied to Melonenmann's topic in C&C Multiplayer Maps
Ahh yes... Winter of Discontent is pretty awesome -
I'm on the C&C3 mod team as quality control manager, and I must say that despite my utter loathing of the Generals engine, this mod surprised me a lot. It's a beautiful piece of work, and although the Generals engine simply can't do the kind of high-quality graphics C&C3 can, this mod is still an amazing achievement. I'm glad I finally downloaded it and gave it a test run, anyway

Tiberian Dawn - Tiberium Village (4P)
Nyerguds replied to Melonenmann's topic in C&C Multiplayer Maps
Ah sorry, I really didn't know. You're "the Dune II guy" to me -
not really... Wine just translates system calls or something... it's not a virtual machine, or even an emulator. (in fact, "Wine" means "Wine Is Not an Emulator")
-
Ehh, this is more a matter of NOT HAVING Windows. C&C itself runs through WINE, but cncnet is a tray icon app... Wine only emulates Windows system calls for single programs, it's not an entire VM.
