  1. I just noticed that #49 is missing. Does this mean scm49ea is free for use?
  2. One more and the pack is complete It's based on Defcon 6 from Generals/ZH (though it no longer looks nothing like it except for elevated base areas )
  3. I present you the Dead Six (6p): This one's propably the most symmetric map I've ever made O_o It's nothing special, but it should provide some fun games online. Can you guess what map it's based on? That particular map is one of my favourites from that game
  4. There's no point in this topic. It's the law of the universe that IE cannot get better. Heck, even the abbreviation IE stands for a well-known error.
  5. RA2 was worse: ore literally grew on parking lots and highways XD
  6. Moar. 3rd map is called Split Zone. It's a flat map for three players, and despite the first look it's actually quite balanced: The top- and bottom-right players pretty much mirror each other in terms of base building area, resources and accessability. However the third player is surrounded by rivers, which give more protection, but have a lot of choke points which may force this player out of the precious Tiberium fields. I'm eager to see how this map plays online (I may have to test it before including in the pack)
  7. Then how do you explain that the program worked once before I got these errors? I had not touched Mixer at all
  8. I figured you wanted at least some kind of reply
  9. You sir, are so wrong Please determine your "music". And why did you list C&C3 and onwards, Frank only did a few songs for RA3 and Uprising.
  10. I don't know why people complain so much about Vista. Surely it has some annoying issues, but none that really bothered me. I've had more problems (though I've fixed most of them) in W7
  11. Ah, well once I release the pack, I will. Next time I'll just post pics
  12. Well, if my memory doesn't fail on me, Red Alert was actually going to be an expansion (prequel or not?) pack for C&C95. Hell March was originally planned as a Nod march song.
  13. I don't remember Red Alert ever having any more connections with real WWII than it has now (i.e. nazis or anything) But don't forget, it is still an alternate WWII The way you described the article doesn't even hint about Nazis, but instead already revealed what Red Alert was going to be about. Allies against Soviets.
  14. Update: scm17ea done. Scroll few posts above for download and updated image. Also, it's called "Bitter Winter" now (a bit cliché name, but it fits).
  15. It would certainly be good if the project continued. I never had the chance to play sole survivor myself.
  16. I decided to add a few capturable buildings (most likely comm. centers) near the middle to provide a little ground control. What do you think of the idea?
  17. Next one (still a WIP. Need to add trees and other doodads), Lift (6 players, name may change). This map puts 3 (or less) players against another 3 (or less). Basically top vs bottom. Who will prevail? Next map will likely be a lot less symmetrical. EDIT: Done, download below, and image updated. scm17ea.rar
  18. I have no need to get TD working over LAN right now, but if I ever do, I'll sure come and check this topic
  19. Red Alert was officially thought and held as the prequel for TD. When EA acquired Virgin Interactive and Westwood with it, a developement studio in Irvine, California was also bought and renamed into Westwood Pacific. IIRC, this studio alone (or at least co-)produced Red Alert 2, which explains the inconsistencies and messed-up timeline. Later, before WW was brought down, some of the developers already planned to explain the new RA2 timeline/universe via C&C3 (Westwood's Tiberian Incursion). Yuri was supposed to be an acolyte of Kane, who was thrown back in time when an abandoned Chronosphere in the sealed vaults of Area 51 was accidently activated (there was also some special armour called "Screaming Eagle" which GDI was trying to retrieve a copy of from the vaults. Presumably it was them who reactivated the Chronosphere). So, I believe the universes were considered seperate either from the release/production of RA2 (even the old Westwood site had Tiberian and Red Alert games at different sections) or from the close-up of Westwood. I got all this information from ex-Westwood and Petroglyph developer Adam Isgreen, who revealed bits of information every now and then at the Petro forums. I'm unsure whether those topics still exist, since the site has been updated a few times.
  20. If no one will mind, I'd like to book scm16-scm20ea for now, I already used 16 for my newest map
  21. Okay ladies, I made this topic to post and show all my C&C1 maps in. I will eventually gather them up and release them as a single (or multiple) pack once I get enough of them done . Oh, and feel free to comment, that's the second reason this topic exists Anyway, here's my latest creation; The Oasis (4 players max., download below). A few words to describe the map: "This hot, barren desert in the heart of Africa is what every commander should avoid. However, since Tiberium has appeared from all directions to leech the region rich of precious minerals, conflicts in this no-man's-land are unavoidable." scm16ea.rar
  22. I like that one too I'm not that big fan of Renegade's tracks, but Command & Conquer (and Stomp of course!) is surely a good one.
  23. Well the anim is weird anyway, at least it doesn't fit to a crate with nuclear rods I recall it was somehow linked with the cut microwave (EMP) weapon?
