Well, I copied all TD stuff to XCC folder and it worked. Thanks. EDIT: Oh balls. I think I know what caused it. XCC Mixer shows a wrong directory as TD's location >_< EDIT2: Yep, no need to have TD files in XCC folder. For some reason, the mixer had a messed up path to (nonexistent) TD folder.

What? Did you read any of the posts above you? The problem was solved days ago.
-
Eh? I thought it opened them from the folder I installed C&C1 into? I honestly don't remember throwing any mix files into the XCC folder before Besides, it worked a few days back when I tested it (after installing on this PC). I haven't removed anything from the XCC or the C&C1 folder.

What is your favorite track from Frank Klepacki/Jarrid Mendelson?
Crimsonum replied to Ferret's topic in General Discussion
Oh, you are right. How could I've forgot that -
"Unable to open all mix files, insert a C&C CD or see readme.txt for details" I get this error everytime I try to open XCC Editor. I use Windows 7 and yes, I have tried compatibility settings and running as admin. Any help?

Hard to say. I always loved the untitled ambient track that plays in the background of TS menu and installer. It would be easier to name tracks that I don't like I guess  Hmm, regarding TS, my favourites are Heroism, Nod Crush, Lone Trooper, Mad Rap, Pharotek, said untitled track, timebomb and link up. In TD, March to Doom, Mechanical Man, In the Line of Fire, Industrial, On the Prowl, Radio and Drill. RA (SS?): Big Foot, Crush, Trenches, Face the Enemy, Reload Fire, Terminate, Twin Cannon, The Search. RA2: HM2, Industrofunk, Motorized, Power YR: Drok for sure! Oh, and don't forget some neat tracks from UaW (I like Hierarchy's and Masari ones the best). -
So you completed it, huh? Nice work

[CnCNet] Current list of used map numbers

scm00ea should be held as a price in the next mapping competition -
My desktop on the W7 computer.

Funny how I never noticed this until recently when I replayed the early GDI missions. I just thought I had some temporary bug that didn't allow it to show up.
-
Ah yes, both work now. Thanks! Btw I forgot to mention that C&C1 and RA both seem to lag a bit, it's no big deal and doesn't really affect gameplay, though.
-
I do? Anyhow, a nice map you've got there. Fits TD.
-
When you click on a structure in the sidebar, every other structure icon in the list will darken. This is because of a shp file in the mix that is laid on all the other icons, and causes the lag. I can't check the name of the file atm, because I have no XCC mixer installed here yet, but it wasn't gclock2 (that's used for the Firestorm IIRC). It was something like darken.shp.

Hey guys. I recently purchased a PC that came with W7 (my laptop retired, so this kind of replaces it. Besides, it was really cheap compared to all that came with it). It's better than Vista for sure, but I have some problems with the C&C games and utilities. I already fixed the inverted colours -error with TD and RA, but CnCNet won't run at all (shuts down as I run the program, even with different compatibility settings and running as admin) and neither will TS (says there are DLLs missing) or RA2 (I get a *fatal* string initialize error). Any help with these? Thanks in advance, and if you need more info of specs or anything, just ask. EDIT: I tested Generals and ZH and they work fine other than that the main menu won't show the battle in background (just a still image) and there plays no music. EDIT2: Nvm about TS and RA2. I got them working.

What a strange solution. It works, partially at least, because the colors mess up approx. every 30 mins. Better than nothing for sure
-
If by "new" you mean from last year, then yeah
-
Because his name is everywhere? Aniwaiz, Dunno why some of the icons don't show up, nothing is wrong with the shortcut properties

Oh that must be it. I did try to recreate the event, but this time it took longer for the Ion Cannon to fire for the second time. I must've had some unit cross the river at that point! Thanks for the info, Nyer
-
I know, but that didn't happen. I was looking at both obelisks when the first one got hit, and then there was about a 15 second delay until another ion cannon fired down :O
-
I was playing the second-to-last Nod mission (where you have to capture the GDI adv. com. center) in C&C1. I decided to beat the mission rather quickly (because I feel it's boring), so I set up my base between the top-left and the bottom-left Tiberium fields and started building a small base. Once I could afford building an obelisk or two, I did so, and noticed something very strange: I built two obelisks near each other, and it didn't take long before the AI blasted one of them with its Ion Cannon. However, what was more annoying was that the AI almost immediately after blowing up the first one, fired its IC to the second obelisk, without any kind of delay! I know the AI cheats in many ways, but I thought it would at least respect the count-down delays in SWs (though, I know the Nod AI can do this with their nukes if you attack the temple after it has fired a nuke). This may or may not be new to some of you, but is there a way to fix this? Also, the AI seems to never use its IC if there's no obelisk/adv. guard tower to fire at, which is just stupid. P.S. If this topic belongs to another sub-forum, may one of the mods kindly move it to a correct one? :3

This reminds me, is there a way to get the parabombs to skirmish/multiplayer? If so, how?
