  2. Hey, guys, the netfix download isn't in the CnCNet downlaod page, could someone fix that and update the setup instructions to include it, cheers. As someone who lives in NZ, playing people without it is impossible.

  6. Agreed, I want more unit slots and the options to make anything transport and anything turret. *sigh* Oh well, I'll just have to make do... but I've just realized, the other day, that I'll have to use ant slots, and therefor lose out on prettier graphics

  12. for my up and coming mod, if you want to use this one, you'll have to replace the phase transport's SHP with this one. As that's the only unit which has transport and turret. (until some fantastic modder unlocks RA, that is). Update: Now with TOW Missile launcher! stnk.rar

  15. Yeah, thanks for the help Nyerguds. Is the SHP of this GIF possible to use strait in RA? The pallets confuse me somewhat in regards to how the game reads the colors. As long as it's the purple pallets for RA, then it'll work, right? (and if the purples for TD are used than TD can read them fine?) See, even though I made these, they took forever using the method I was using, and the end result can have no pure black on it (the black seen here and on the Light tank are slightly off pure black to stop issues with transparency. I made these before I had the purples. I think from what you've shown me, I can sort out making better SHPs now. What program do you use to do your actual editing of SHPs? I'd like something that can read PNG frames and load the purples as well... if there isn't a program for that, what do you do?
  16. This one needs to be touched up, which I'll start doing a week and a half down the track as I'm currently too busy. The antennae on this are worked onto the model by following the same pattern as the Heavy tank from RA. When I touch this up, would people like to the the antennae to be taller, or do you like them as they are?

This one seems fine, the Abrams seems to need some more refining, the more I look the more I see small mistakes (transparent dots and so on, because I was finding my own way to solve problems with transparencies) . Not due to the way I draw stuff, but because of the converting files just to SAVE the work I do. To quickly answer your question, no, TD and RA work using different pallets, these would all have crazy colors if you tried to use them in TD. Hell, the planes even have less FRAMES than the flyers in TD. I would like to make versions of both of these for TD as well, I am planning on it. These were for RA because I'm starting a mod for RA. Issue is, I don't really mod, so it's a learn as I go experience (although, I have done some fiddling, so I know about what can and can't be easily done). You know that I just took the TD light tank and put sticks on it right? This isn't a total redesign... A Black Hawk would be cool, but to really make a good looking one you'd have to make a 3D model and take a shot of it from 32 angles. Else you'd have to be the most awesome pixel artist ever.
  18. XCC keeps resizing the frames to cut it as close as it can to the turret (getting rid of as much background color as it can) when I try to make the turret and the body into SHPs. And if I copy and paste as a SHP, it creates a corrupted SHP for some reason... and resizes SOME frames also (wtf, lol). I also couldn't figure out your renaming program... which isn't too bad for vehicles, but would be terrible for infantry.
  19. I'm using XCC to make the SHP into a PNG, but the best I can do it make the PNG save a very long picture of all the frames, how can I make a layered PNG of the SHP file?
  20. No one else calls them aerials? yep antennae... (maybe it's a New Zealand thing, we have a few words that we use here that others don't) Cheers, I might use gimp to do that for the Abrams as well, I think the Abrams came out better, but this also looks pretty good ingame. BTW how DO you make it with the turret going around?
  21. I also feel bad bumping this post, but that tut is down, and I kinda want to see it also. I get the idea of what I have to do to sort it out. It's mainly what programs to use to edit the SHPs. I have one way, but it consists of me manually copying and pasting ALL the frames in an SHP, yuk. And using such a method, I'm still left using slightly off black as black to solve transparency issues

WAS going to be used in my mod, then it became obvious that I needed one with a loading and unloading animation, but if you want a nicer looking light tank, you can use this Converted from TD, added aerials, says it all... if someone tells me how to make it into a GIF animation, I'll add that to this post also. 1tnk.rar
