  1. It doesn't have the same feel , it sucks imo, otherwise it would be epic it has some excellent ideas but its not cnc1 , ive spent my whole life getting used to the feel of the game and they change it, I cant do it and the balance is off it feels horrible :)))
  2. It is? Do they reload fast? I suppose if you have good aim it can do a fair bit of damage? I thought nuke was better? You joke? xD
  3. Which do you think are the best? (in terms of enjoyment, balance, looks, etc) What maps would you like to see "ported" from other rts games e.g. RA1, sup com, total annihilation, starcraft etc to cnc 1? (not an important question just thought it would be good to get an idea of what maps the pros and most knowledgeable members liked/respected the most , so I can get an idea on how to design my maps, same for what maps youd like to see imported or remade from other games) I watched a video where some pros were hating on "injustice" but much preferred bush lands and I see why, its well balanced and allows for more diverse tactics and the proper "meta"
  4. Do you think it would be a cool tick box so the GDI players can have the A10? Is it even possible? I would love to give people access to the A10 in normal multiplayer games is this possible? Is there any way to make a slight mod so people get the A10? Lastly will we ever get the increased armour weapons factory upgrade (tick box) to balance out the nod fast planes upgrade? Not an important question, just its such a cool unit idea the A10 its a shame its only single player

  6. Thanks bro really appreciate the non stop help!! Others do too people read this then I find them doing the same things when we get to multiplayer. Also had an awesome game your 3 way FFA map tonight, plays so well when its 3 pro players fighting, it was a gradual whittling down evenly of each others bases, there was a 30 stealth tank surprise at the end that caught us all off guard xD

  9. I have to say ra3 was good in my book, more or less, just a bit too cartoony, I like a tank that looks like a tank not like a cartoon/ dogs chew toy. But its tiberium twilight that was the mother of all mistakes, this mobile game is horrible too imo, generals doesn't feel like our game it has a lack of character style and plot. They should re make cnc3 or cnc1 and add to it while correcting mistakes (like the next game but based on a game that was a success ) For red alert they should add to ra1, ra2 and ra3 and correct mistakes esp the ones in ra3. Then they would be golden, all they have to do is what was popular and well reviewed and well received and scrap what was hated by most people, its so easy but they just keep messing up then giving up. I predict the next bluder will be making it too PC like the latest battlefield game, where they changed history just to make it politically correct, that's what they will do to the next cnc I bet!

Its probably all about cash, they wanted to appeal to as many people as possible (old and new) and sell it as a mobile phone game (to as many ppl as possible for more cash), also the very limiting processing power of mobiles means they almost have no choice but to make it like it was a game from 1996, probably drawing inspiration from soul survivor, limited money maps and their own lousy modern ideas. So now all you get is everyone feeling disappointed rather than everyone feeling pleased, since EA's way of modernising it turns the stomachs of older players, EA won't make its money, EA probably wont make another CnC for some time, we get another disappointment like tiberium twilight, we have to wait many more years for a good cnc, maybe we will never get it, and yea EA will probably keep making the same mistakes when its really an easy problem to solve despite the cnc fan base seeming overly fussy they are not they just want a few fundamental things , like base building, improved graphics, good story, good looking non cartoony unrealistic looking units, etc They should draw inspiration from ra1,cnc1, and more importantly form red alert 2, and cnc 3 because that's where they didn't fail, that's where they listened/got it right.

  12. I tend to only use 1 team maybe 2, I use team 1 for anything im using currently be it an engineer in an apc or my main force of tanks and units. I use another team for helicopters and that's as far as my team use goes. White once told me he uses 1 team for anti armour and another for anti infantry within a single group of units. I presume splitting up your main tank force into 2 teams is worthwhile too so you can get a better surface area when you attack another group of tanks? Also adding and teaming all harvesters might be worthwhile to separate them from your main units so they don't get muddled? 2 packs of buggies or bikes might be a nightmare I will have to try that (piv style) Anyway how do you use teams? How do pros use them? Do people use like 5 or more teams or do they cycle the 1 and 2 keys for whatever they are currently using?
  13. Like if im on the right side I use the right bookmark for home and the left book mark for the enemy base. If im on the left side I use the left bookmark for my base and the right book mark for the enemy base. Does anyone else do this? I find it hard to use a key the opposite direction of where I want to go my brain doesn't like it, but maybe I should do that though because I should stay consistent with the keys I use each time no matter where I am to increase speed and muscle memory? What do you guys think /do and what if the enemy base is above or below are your book marks in a line 1-4 left to right?

EA got it right with cnc3 more or less so they can do it they just have to keep repeating successes and the tried and true things that fans like such as base building and realistic looking units rather than cartoonish ones, rather than trying to do something different or original from their own ideas. All they have to do is a graphics upgrade almost, because the formula is already so good but they some how manage to mess it up when they try their own ideas.

  16. its a great fun idea I like maps like that but this is meant to be a realistic looking map and a tournament style map, but good suggestion for a fun map I will do an island map on another separate map from this, like a ffa map, cheers bro
  17. very good point X3M im also making a straight left vs right map for gdi vs gdi , its either pure nod vs nod gdi vs gdi or a compromise of both, also it works for gdi vs nod if gdi start bottom or in general, just not for gdi vs gdi, hence the next map. I think that problem could be solved perfectly maybe over the course of 2 maps or maybe a start position in the middle /tiberium so both players could choose where you drive to, to set up a base, then its up to the players and its their fault if they drive somewhere silly. But that's an idea for another map or my next tournament style map which I will make lol, thanks for the inspiration X3M! yes I wanted it realistic looking there's not usually an island when you look out at sea, and it causes the ai problems and finishing a game problematic , fun for other maps problematic for a tournament map not going to make the island as its unrealistic looking and the theme of the map is realistic looking and a bottom right focus cheers bro

  19. yea as of late ive seen phd play a lot like white (with gdi) lots of troops for defence, 2 refinery starts, 1 weapons factor meds, sometimes hummers if he's built a lot of troops early which white doesn't do, if he plays nod he plays alot like jacko even using flame tanks etc and going comm centre before the 2nd airstrip , heavy on turrets , plays like a real expert

  22. Everytime ive seen him play he goes 2 refinery start, 1 war factory, sometimes hummers. Lots of troops for defence. Unless im mistaken and he goes 3 refinery and sells one. But pretty sure its 2 refinery build when we all had competitive 1v1 matches.

  24. thanks bro :))), the middle tiberium end up being the battle point and u are building turrets etc into the tiberium im not sure that makes for a good battle I might split the tiberium up the cliff at bottom right looks unnatural so I might change it to something else it feels really nice to play a game where the advantages of bottom and right are maximised from the test play its awkward to send troops as u have to go around the tiberium so will change that perhaps
