  1. This is the old installer, try to get the latest version from here: http://cncnet.org/tiberian-sun But I guess your problems are related to a bugged driver version, check the first post here in this topic for more information
  2. Try to run it once in online mode and play a game there, see if that works. Afterwards try offline again There is a bad LAN patch around that can cause such problems, make sure you don't copy a file named "wsock32.dll" into your game folder
  3. A bad map can cause such problems, AI players also raise the chance for it, there is no fix for it yet
  4. Tiberian Sun always had such a setting but it was only available via rules.ini changes, on cncnet we added a checkbox for it called "Multiple Factory", you have to turn it off if you don't like things to speed up with Multiple Factories
  5. Files are still there, but sometimes the server doesn't show them. It does these weird things for years, just try it again at a later time
  6. this is a error with the game, not rampas client, these logs will not help
  7. You can disable it, there is a checkbox you might have missed
  8. Fair enough, real solution would be finding out why you don't have the needed access on your pc. You might run into this problem again at some point when you install some other programs
  9. Did you login on cncnet? you need to enter your username/pass below your nickname on the cncnet login screen
  10. This one I guess? Unable to execute file: sdbinst.exe CreatedProcess failed; Code 5. Access Denied. Only heard about it once yet and the guy who had it didn't tell if he was able to get around it, Access Denied could be caused by security programs or maybe windows 10 has some special security settings to prevent sdbinst from starting up You can try to install the compatibility fix manually, you should be able to right click and install: http://downloads.cncnet.org/Games/TiberianSun/TS.sdb Another option would be to install the TS.sdb via Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=7352
  11. If the error said something about "sdbinst.exe" then it would explain your problems, cause it would have failed to apply the window 10 fix for the menus yes, keep me updated
  12. hi Starside Ghost, welcome to the forums! Actually the patch should fix exactly the problem you encounter, try to run the patcher again and make sure your security programs are not blocking it. Origin might tell you that there is an update available after you apply the patch, make sure you don't install it! Actually there is no update available, origin only thinks there is one cause the files were modified and don't match the ones on their server. If it still doesn't work then try to add the following into Sun.ini under the [Video] section: DisableMaxWindowedMode=Yes Did you already test the alternative rendering settings (IE-DDraw, DDwrapper)?
  13. You are right about the map sharing, that's how it works in the original games. The host is sending the map files directly to the other players peer to peer. But here on cncnet we changed that, we added another layer of security, players cannot send each other any files directly Here is how it works on cncnet: Player 1 creates a new map and selects the map in his game room Player 2 checks if the map is available on the server Server answers Player 2 and tells him that the map is not on the server Player 2 asks Player 1 to upload the map to the server Player 1 tries to upload the map to the server, the server will check if the file is really a map and everything is ok with it Server accepts the map if everything is fine and tells Player 1 about the successful upload Player 1 tells Player 2 that the server accepted the map Player 2 checks if the map is available on the server again Server gives the ok and sends the map to Player 2
  14. Did you try to run it as admin? Something must be stopping it from starting up, if there would be an error within cncnet then you would see a messagebox
  15. Medal is awarded for the red alert gold medal challenge http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=4512
  16. We don't have anyone who maintains the Mac download at the moment so you'll have to download wineskin winery and try to change the engine on your own. There are also other settings besides the engine that you can try
  17. Try to turn off norton and see if it works then What is the file size of cncnet5.exe?
  18. Try to go to your game folder and start cncnet5.exe manually, the folder is usually in c:/Games/CnCNet/ What anti-virus program do you have?
  19. Did you ask your internet provider about it? I remember you guys from pakistan had problems before and no one could solve it
  20. Is it always the same players who end up dropping from the games? The best thing you could do is getting the wineskin winery and try to change the engine and other settings until it works better There was a post somewhere here in the forums, someone could make the game run much better when he changed the settings, the only drawback was that the other games didn't work anymore after the changes, but that shouldn't be a problems since you can just have one wrapper for the first two games and another one for TS
