  1. http://www.mediafire.com/download/rd4ex398cpehd98/cncnet_hr_d2k_update.rar Supporting Dune 2000 strings
  2. I just checked the Dune 2000 Online site and it appears to be shut down Nobody used it anyway, too bad.
  3. Late to the party as well here, but the wishes stay the same. Stay strong, CnC-Comm!
  4. Renegade is not a planned game. Multiplayer communities of the games mentioned in the announcement will fracture if an online substitution doesn't come up. Renegade has a dedicated server system that anyone can download and use.
  5. Machine ID banning may be effective, but I don't know how that info can be collected...

  7. Oh hi there, Shortbuscasealfreitag.
  8. Wouldn't know. It was pure luck that AZ-Stalker had this issue of the magazine, so I really couldn't tell about TD. As for Dune II, I can tell you with 100% certainty that there isn't a timeline posted in Hacker, as it was first released in 1994.
  9. Our user Naruto8900 has been on a spree of finding icons in different languages and those without text for RA1, RA2 and YR, with this one popping up. Dunno where he found it.
  10. Can someone tell me for which unit was this icon used in pre-release builds of RA1? We have this on the wiki, but it isn't placed anywhere.
  11. AZ-Stalker was kind enough to send me the December 1996 issue of the old Croatian magazine "Hacker" with a review of the first Red Alert. What makes it so intriguing are the dates related to several development phases of the game, unavailable elsewhere nowadays. Everyone who loves keeping all possible data on C&C games can feast his eyes on this B) 12 December 1995 - Westwood Studios started creating a real-time strategy game set in the Second World War. The name is still unknown. 29 January 1996 - The newly named Command & Conquer: Red Alert begins experimental development on Windows 95. 11 February 1996 - Story drafts completed, great new units and buildings announced. 1 March 1996 - Development for DOS and Windows 95 accelerates. 80% of the engine and 25% of the artwork (graphics, sounds, missions) are done. 15 March 1996 - Multiplayer capacity increased from 4 to 6. 17 May 1996 - Multiplayer capacity increased from 6 to 8. 27 June 1996 - Westwood Studios focuses development on creating a multiplayer environment on the Internet. 1 September 1996 - Testing of DOS and Windows 95 versions started. Tester count increased from 10 to 60. 5 September 1996 - Westwood Studios announces the game to be released in 45 days. 4 November 1996 - PC Gamer releases "secret" information and never before seen images from the game. 9 November 1996 - First CDs created. Bug hunting becomes a priority. 12 November 1996 - The game malfunctions on some systems. 14 November 1996 - First master discs manufactured. Final testing phase started. 17 November 1996 (7:00 AM PDT) - Master discs sent for copying, ending the development cycle of the game. 31 November 1996 - Game released in North America. Magazine photos (not scans, he announces to have them made soon) are here: http://imgur.com/a/V0SSp
  12. I shouldn't, I made a fresh install less than half an hour ago, I don't have anything except HyperPatch 0.2, ddwrapper and CnCNet 5.0
  13. I am unable to run TS in CnCNet, it gives me a black screen, and if I alt-tab out and in, I get the screen you see in the attachment. I have HyperPatch 0.2 and ddwrapper, but I don't see why ts-spawn would go wild on them. The issue persists even after reinstalling.
  14. LaunchBase-based mods, including YR UMP 1.002, behave differently than regular mods. To alter a rulesmd.ini file in the UMP, you must go to your LaunchBase folder (I think it has to be in the RA2 directory). Then, browse to Mods\ump\video and extract the .ini file(s) you need from the files you see there. If you want to save the .ini file(s) to a .MIX file, you must, in this case, call it expandmd99.mix, because if you would call it 98 like the source .MIX file, the game will get confused because of two files of the same name colliding. Otherwise, if you overwrite a file in an existing .MIX that originated from somebody else, you'll have to reinstall the entire mod if you screw up You should also place expandmd99.mix to the same folder as expandmd98.mix.
  15. Um, TFD was released before Origin was even on the drawing board. However, everyone will tell you that having individual discs is the best solution
  16. This pack is intended for our CnCNet devs to examine and approve. I've converted several sounds from Tiberian Sun to fit CnCNet's needs and added a background image in 1920x1200, which is mostly displayed cut off instead of stretched in practice, but still works and doesn't seem to hurt my eyes . However, I do not know how to theme the buttons themselves. I'd like to see them in blue, green, gray or brown to have a TS-ey feeling to them. http://www.mediafire.com/download/lfjjujdl81rqer0/Tiberian_Sun_Theme.rar
  17. Wouldn't know. This was released 4 years before TUC, so it wasn't tested in that environment. Try disabling the update function for YR in Origin somehow (I hear this works with mod enabling) and install LB in the RA2/YR directory. See if that works.
  18. http://marshall.strategy-x.com/ump/index.php Install LaunchBase first, then this. It'll fix some other YR bugs as well. A little long to set up, I know, but this is the best solution I've found so far that doesn't include an actual mod. If you'd like, I can give you just the fix for that mission in the following days.
