  1. A Tesla trooper is the equivelant of rhino when used defensively. A good example is roundhouse kick, if u go naval before war and ur enemy goes straight for warfac 0 miner and rhino, tesla troopers will save your ass. ive done this many a time and had it done against me. Also that 'purple idiot' happens to be one the most succsessful players on ra2 and yr and would humiliate you with relative ease. Another instance is Martins rush on cs against allies (on ra2) he used to go for 4 miners and move mcv to middle and spam barracks. Conscript/deso/flak trooper and tesla with a few rhino behind them is near unstoppable in that situation. In SvS when iraq isnt involved they are the best fodder available, they take a lot of damage from rhino and can deal severe damage out, not to mention how powerful they are if u get an elite. Every single unit in this game has its uses, just depends if u know how and when to use them.

  3. Erm...me? Siege choppers absolutely devestate yuri.. even from the air. Its also the only way a sov can take yuri head-on. Allied air sucks vs yuri cept korea though yea. But in fairness the ground units of allieds are far more effective against yuri right from the start.
  4. Also i dont think the IC timer should be changed. It would make dealing with yuri or even allied in late game much more difficult. Id 'mabye' take a minute off the chronosphere though. People here saying chronosphere is useless in 1v1 because of the time it takes baffle me. If you decrease the timer of the chrono too much think of the power allies would have. Imagine playing Tsunami, Artic Circle, Depth Charge, Hammer and Sickle, Death Valley Girl, Alaskan oil spill DMZ or any map with bridges/water. It would be near impossible to lose. Personally i think the timers are about right, and as always the map plays a huge part in how effective each superweapon is.
  5. I think heldro is correct, if you dont understand why the mutator is the most powerful superweapon in 1v1 combat i dont think you really understand the game at all. This comment above kinda confirms the point. Playing since 2001 counts for nothing if your not good/experienced. It leaves gaps in your knowledge which shows in this instance. Try a map like Hidden Valley, Let there be fight vs a strong yuri and you will see why the mutator is so strong. Between free regenerating slaves and a cloning vat a mutator is more valuable than any superweapon in the game. It also basically puts the sov/allied player on a time limit to win. Yuri doesnt even have to attack in a map like this. They can just camp wait and win. An experienced player knows as soon as the mutator is up the clock is ticking.
  6. I have no issue with them picking up miners, just think they shouldnt be able to pick up units on higher ground unless theres an entry point. I think if u did this it would be a much more even balanced playing field for allies/sovs.
  7. Vs allies in this situation yuri wouldnt be able to make naval at all. You might get 1-2 boomers if ur lucky. Dolphins destroy naval yards far too quick. I think the naval set up is about right personally.

Yea i understand the concept behind it but they aren't 3rd tier units like Siege/Prisim and it doesnt quite pan out that way, id say its more comparable to v3 than a siege in that sense, also prizims cant shoot over a ridge. on a map like Snow Valley/Tour of Egypt/Soveriegn land and many other's a single magnetron can end a game within a matter of second's, a prizim/siege cannot. On flat land they arent a problem really. For example this is one of the main reason's why in the MX mods mustacheX makes, mag's cant attack miners. this (and the mutator) is why yuri is reffered to as 'overpowerd' imo. All the other units are fine (boomers included) if u ask me.

  11. Id remove all the glitches/bugs that can be abused and leave the base game. Mags not bieng able to attack units on a ridge (from below) above them would be nice aswell

  13. I expect more than 2 days notice, especially considering how long its took everyone else. Do you expect me to check this forum every day for two months just to keep you happy? I didnt ignore anything. Where did i 'fuck your mind' or that of other participants and where did i say i didnt have time? When did i say i could play and not turn up? None of this is relevant to me. Again where did i 'fuck your mind' or where did i promise to make games? I waited for the tournament to progress to where i could play. It seems the moment it did you decided to just jump to the end of the line. Im in GMT (UTC+00:00) timezone. I can play evenings from 8.00-10.00 or on saturday late afternoons/evenings or sundays anytime.
  14. I wait almost 2 months for games to be played then when they finally do get played i get 2 days before im removed from the tournament? Go fuck yourself. What an ignorant asshole you are. Not everyone wants to or can play at your timetable, the arrogance in this is overwhelming. This tournament wasnt very succsessful but it got 10x worse when you got involved and started trying to rush things to suit your own agenda. These things shouldnt be done to suit your desires or needs, they should be done to suit the needs of the community, something you clearly failed to understand.

  17. I agree with heldro think its dumb for me to get an automatic bypass straight into the final. Saves me some time i suppose ? but really whats the rush? Wait and let the players involved play, this isnt that urgent and waiting till people are available wont hurt anyone. Also ive replaced tim with Nashenas as hes not been around.

  19. 8 games in a row with 4 different hosts only each individual player loads on thier screen, this error has been here a while now and seems to be becoming more frequent..

  21. So Grant got back to my suggestion and said we are now allowed 40 core maps and 12 bonus map's (3 of which are swapped weekly) ill add more in tommorow, if theres specific maps anyone would like this would now would be the time to make suggestions!

Guy's its clear almost all the experienced players want more map's and i personally agree, obviously certain people want to keep the map list small to benefit newer player's even if there are very few of them and i understanding the reasoning behind this, i have suggested implementing a function that allows the more experienced player's more map's while keeping a smaller map pool for the newer player's, we shall see what the responses are in due course. I dont think we should put them all in qm, some maps are incredibly imbalanced or ridiculous for 1v1, however if things are agreed upon hopefully we will find a way to add the vast majority of map's to keep everyone happy.
