  2. GDI has taken back Egypt, and All we get to take it back is one commando. Okay, and another run-down base. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EECdue2D-S4 I like this mission. It's a good mix of commando mission and base building mission.
  3. If you put it this way, the AI has no way of dealing with a tank rush either. Or any strategy but sending small squads to its base.

  8. It's the bloody chopper mission. I hate this mission, and while I have been able to beat it, I could never beat it consistently. At times GDI that stomps me and that's it, other times they just sit there and let me destroy the village. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7qk-RDsJfE

  13. I recently played the mission and choose to build in the base. When I attacked the Advanced Comnm. Centre, GDI flipped out and went for my Stealth Tank. You can use this to distract from your MCV. Attacking the eastern guard towers also triggered the Mammoth Tanks to move over there, so it's definitely possible to leave the GDI base. The initial Stealth Tank can also take out a good number of GDI units scattered across the map.

  17. Nevermind, I just realised that RA Portable has an option for that.
  18. I'm not a fan of the larger infantry sprites in RA and prefer the C&C1-sized spirited. Infantry is already offscale compared to buildings and units, no need to make than even worse. I vaguely recall that the size of the sprites can be modded. Is that correct and if yes, how can it be done?

  20. I finally did it. The first time I played TCO was ages ago, so I'm not 100% that I didn't beat all missions at one point, but this is definitely the first time I completed all mission in a row. And no sandbag cheese! These missions make the main campaigns look like a piece of cake. I think that most them are also better designed and allow for multiple strategies e.g. engineer rush, guard tower creep or the classic tank horde. I'll take on Red Alert Aftermath and Counterstrike in the near future. I remember a couple of those mission being even harder.

  23. Ha, I managed to eat this mission just now! I did build my base in the northeaster corner of the map, immediately spammed five refineries, and eliminated the two minor Nod bases. Cracking the large Nod base was a bit tricky, but I played it save and sealed them in, destroying their harvesters whenever they left the base. Nod nuked me twice, but didn't even manage to destroy a constriction yard. Thanks for the advice, folks.

  25. Thanks for all the tips. I'm not sure where you get the time to build four refineries from, though. The first attack (three Nod cycles) comes at 4:30. At that point, Nod had already send flame tanks and SSM launchers at me during my last playthrough (well, not so much "through").
