s.kums Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Hi all, In the original C&C Tiberian Sun you could configure a spy by adding the attribute Disguised=yes to the configuration section of a unit in rules.ini. The unit would then appear as an allied rifle soldier to enemies. It seems this attribute has no effect in the Cncnet version of Tiberian Sun, since my supposed spy is attacked by enemy units when they see him. Is there any way to get this feature back? Many thanks for any feedback! 1
Holland Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 I've never seen that working ever in tibsun bro...
Agrathore Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Yeah, I've only ever seen that in something like renegade.
s.kums Posted January 1, 2021 Author Posted January 1, 2021 Apparently, this feature has been deliberately disabled in CNCNET. It mentions in the source code that the AI can cheat and recognize disguised units. See here: https://github.com/CnCNet/ts-patches/blob/e82f944cc42b4f479b44239ac91156b669329f19/src/spy_fix.asm#L34
