How do you change Ownership of a unit/building?

Title. I've been wanting to dabble into map challenges for Tiberian Sun Firestorm, but can't figure out how to change ownership of a building or unit. I'm trying to do it so that any AI/Humans start with specific buildings or units upon the match starting.

You need to open your map file with notepad, paste

[Houses]

50=spawn1

51=spawn2

Etc

 

Then when u open the map in finalsun, you should be able to make it as owner. If not, get an updated final sun.

But make sure that houses list is in your map file.

You can also (after adding those houses) find the section [Structures] and write the spawn house at the structures ID's

Thank you, this was all I needed to do, and now ownership changes fine.

EDIT: Any side that has ownership over aircraft seems to crash the game. Is this normal?

When you give something ownership to a spawn, the map will crash if that player is not there. 

To fix this you have to use triggers. 

Click Options > Disable beginner mode

Edit > Trigger editor > New trigger > events - new event: Any event > Actions: Change house.. parameter spawn house1. (Name the trigger spawn1)

Copy trigger > change action to spawn house2.

Copy triggers till u got all houses u need.

DoubleClick unit or building> attach trigger > attach the corresponding trigger ?

 

Thats it, just attach the spawn trigger to each unit. Oh and turn them back neutral
