DoMiNaNt_HuNtEr Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Can I use the aftermath units for the original Red Alert campaign somehow?
Allen508 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Can be done 2 ways. First by editing the rules.ini *not sure sure if rules.ini are used for CnC Net Singleplayer now* Add the below lines ABOVE [General] in the rules.ini [Aftermath] MTankDistance=20 QuakeUnitDamage=45% QuakeBuildingDamage=40% QuakeInfantryDamage=0 QuakeDelay=120 CarrierLaunchDelay=30 ChronoTankDuration=2 NewUnitsEnabled=1 Now add below lines BELOW [General] in the rules.ini NewUnitsEnabled=1 Or use XCC to extract each mission and add the following to the missions. [Aftermath] NewUnitsEnabled=1
Jacko Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 AFAIK you need to add the [Aftermath] NewUnitsEnabled=1 to Every mission file to get it to work.
Blade Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 No, I think just adding it to rules.ini is enough, don't need it in every mission, but you might also want to consider the tech levels as well.
TaxOwlbear Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 One of the freeware versions of RA1 has this as an option in its launcher. Not sure which one, though.
CCHyper Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Just a remark, the INI engine the C&C games allows 1, true, yes for bools, so you do not have to use 1 to respresent a "true" value. Just to make it easier to read
Nyerguds Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 If I remember correctly, it just checks the first letter of whatever is put there anyway
DoMiNaNt_HuNtEr Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 Alright, thank yah very much! Now my Soviet army can have a couple extra tanks and ships to use!
