That's the thing, you're not discussing, you are pestering for a member of staffs attention. Use the forums as they're supposed to be used, or don't. Thanks.

Hello, We need some additional information to help you out. In order for us to work out your issue, we will require your client.log file. Please attach it to your reply. Finding your client.log file: Navigate to your Red Alert 2 folder. This is where CnCNet is installed. Look for the folder called "Client" Inside this folder, there will be a file called client.log

@MaDMaN, The only two links you should need for such issues are below. You shouldn't need to PM FunkyFr3sh or any other member of staff for that matter. Game & client support - https://forums.cncnet.org/forum/11-game-client-support/ Flag a lobby rule breach - https://forums.cncnet.org/forum/71-flag-a-lobby-rule-breach/ If you need help, please use the appropriate forums and refrain from contacting us directly. Thanks

OK - I'll need your client.log file for this one. You can find it in your game directory, Client/client.log

You probably can't move it because bit defender is accessing it. I would literally just disable bit defender for a few minutes until you get the folder moved. The file it is complaining about isn't even under one of our protected files. To be safe, it's also deemed fine by virus total.

You can move your Red Alert 2 game installation folder from Program files, into My Documents where it doesn't require admin privileges. Temporarily, you could also disable bitdefender whilst running the CnCNet installer, and turning it back on.

Hmm, 16.04. 14:01:07.696 Custom maps directory does not exist! Did you delete this folder? (Red Alert 2 install folder)\Maps\Custom When did you install? If not recently, when did this start happening?

Please upload: client.log It can be found in (Red Alert 2 install folder)\Client

Hello, Which game are you referring to please?

Hello, CnCNet is in your game directory where RA2 or YR is installed on your computer. If you've got Origin, this will be in Program files > Origin Games. The file you want to search for to run is CnCNetYRLauncher.exe, and then create a shortcut if the installer hasn't done this already. I've moved this to support for you. Thanks,

Hello, If CnCNet has been blocked or flagged by your anti-virus there are a few things to note. Firstly, this warning is often nothing to worry about. Anti-virus software often flag new files as a false positive, mainly because they have discovered a new file on your system they haven't seen before. This is very common in software development, especially for small scale developers such as ourselves. Other ways a file could be flagged as a false positive is the way we protect the software from being decompiled. Some of our software is protected for reasons to keep CnCNet services safe and secure. Important steps you can take: You can remove this block by allowing it as an exception to your Antivirus firewall. Submit the file in question to a site such as Virus Total, where it will scan the file against other anti-virus definitions. You will probably find your anti-virus will be listed, among some of the others, but as a rule the ratio should be low, and this is fine. To help us stop these alerts, you can submit a report to your antivirus software company, they will scan the file in question that has been flagged, and it will be reviewed and will come back as a false positive. In relation to your problem with the launcher, the anti-virus is probably moving files into quarentine which will make it crash. To solve your problem, reinstall CnCNet using the installer, allow an exception to your firewall for CnCNet and run again. Hope this helps

Hello, Please try one of the following solutions: Set your game resolution to the same resolution as your desktop. Navigate to Client Options > Display, and select the resolution and save. Ensure your video drivers are up to date. Remove RA2MD.ini

Thanks, it was updated in the latest update.

OK, do you happen to have the attachment name so I can do a search?
-
Can we please have back the option for present crates (red)
Grant replied to FP4ME's topic in Red Alert 2
@dkeeton, @tomsons26 - easter eggs now? The presents were supposed to have been removed in January. It's just a Christmas holiday event only I'm afraid! -
The attachments aren't necessarily gone, they're probably still on disk just not linked. It seems not all attachments got converted over. Does anything appear here: https://forums.cncnet.org/attachments/

Hello, Thanks for flagging this. Unfortunately an updater file wasn't the latest on our repo, so when releasing that last version it also also removed a legacy file for your shortcuts. I've hopefully corrected this for you in v3.2.2.3 and your shortcut should work again. If it doesn't, you may have to manually re-create a new shortcut to CnCNetYRLauncher.exe Apologies for the trouble!

Does the link not appear here? https://forums.cncnet.org/profile/30770-nyerguds/ Could be permissions issue, will look shortly. Off topic posts split into support - https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/6758-missing-shortcut/

It could be some remotely hosted avatars didn't make it over during the upgrade, or some avatars got lost. Who knows. You should be able to add your avatar back though.

Hello everyone, The forums have undergone a conversion from our old software to IPB. It took a little longer than expected which explains why our forums were offline earlier in the day. Thanks for your patience, if you notice anything a bit wonky feel free to private message us or post back. P.s you may have also spotted a new "feel" or "theme" going on, it will all interlink with our new website (coming soon).

Why people say Alting is a lame tactic or cheat?
Grant replied to Kikematamitos's topic in Red Alert 2
It's one bug from what I've been told from @Iran, is quite hard to rectify. -
Sorry for the lack of updates I've been stupidly busy at work these last two weeks, no weekend.
