  1. If you mean the mouse cursor thing, that's easily proven: as I said, the mouse pointer is just an animation. As far as I know, these cursor animations don't go faster or slower if you change the game speed. So, I don't see how they could have any relation to the actual game timing.
  2. You can also get kicked out of the lobby for flooding, like copying and pasting stuff really fast. If I remember correctly, this happens if you post more than 8 lines within an 8-second period. Maybe that happened? Those are normally repealed after 10 minutes, though.

  8. The map size. Resolutions larger than the map size will bug out the engine, and possibly make it crash.

That's hardly helpful, Funky.. if he wants to learn modding he should get himself familiarized with the tools involved and the game;s file structure Marlborough1704: XCC Mixer has a search function built into it. Use that to search for "rules.ini". I think the point Tore was trying to convey was that the best way to learn how to do these things was to download the mod and simply look how they did it

  11. Problem is that even things like train scripts would already show up on such a checker... scripting and customized civilian stuff seems pretty common in TS maps

  13. Basically, the way the developers would; by actually patching the game. Just, without source code it's all disassembling and byte patching. (amg h4x) The fact the cncnet client downloads and executes these patched exes instead of the game's own exes when actually starting a game makes sure people are forced to use these patched exes, making it hard to weasel in stuff of their own to still get around it.

  19. RA1 voice? Um. That's quite a bit harder. RA1 kinda doesn't have these voice briefings. For DTA, I could at least fall back on the Sole Survivor ones

  21. lol. Not quite the same, but somewhat usable, I guess XD Really, though... TS has voice briefings, meaning there's tons of material you can use for cutting and pasting vowels together, in loads of different intonations and connections. It's how I made the EVA for the Spanish C&C1 language pack, using the Spanish TS EVA. Gimme a list of the voices you still need (the spoken text to construct, not the filenames), and I'll see what I can do.
  22. Was thinking that too. It seems like initializing of memory space. If that could be changed halfway the program run, there would be no sense in even HAVING those settings. Oh, by the way... heaps are dumped rather directly into savegames, so it's possible that changing those maximums can make your game incompatible with existing savegames.
