Because you are connected to the old server (xwis) where nobody plays Tiberian Sun any longer (only Red Alert 2). You'll need to connect to CnCNet. I suggest you start by downloading and running the online installer for Tiberian Sun from cncnet.org. The instructions are pretty straight forward. Just post back here if you get stuck.

If someone organizes it (advertisement, brackets, times, dates, rules, get players together, maybe a streamer, etc.), I'll contribute $100 to the prize pool. -

What are CnCNet's server specs and costs? And Forums?

Ok thanks. -
You know those ads you see before watching a YouTube video? Well, one of those could be for TS. YouTube -> Creator Studio -> Video Manager -> (drop down box next to promo vid) -> Promote. It does cost money (a few cents per click), but if it works, then it's money well spent. I'll contribute if I think the video will be effective. You can also pay to advertise on other social media such as Facebook (Facebook -> (drop-down box next to padlock) -> Create Ads), but I think YouTube will be more effective. In saying that, maybe a promo vid for CnCNet instead might be better.

Just wondering, what are the system specs of cncnet's dedicated server running on, and what are the costs per month? What about these forums? I'm not planning to run my own server or anything, just curious.

Finally... it works. I decided to try this again (release-20151224) a couple of weeks ago and whatever updates the devs added in this version has made it work on my pc. And I've gotta say - it's frickn awesome.

(A little off-topic) Regarding AI making structures in multiplayer matches in TD; is it possible to create a bot, that when activated, is able to control one of the players? I mean, say for example I open up a 2 player game online, can a bot then join my game and start doing things? It'll probably have to have a shit load of if-else/mov-cmp-jne blocks in the code (like IF human player attacks AI owned structure then repair that structure). I know in theory anything is possible, but I mean is it possible to do without having to dissect and practically reprogram the whole game? Of course you can always play online against a real person, but just for a bit of fun and also practice.

1. I don't really wanna go any higher than 1280x720 coz I find it hard to select specific units. Yes I use right-click to scroll. 2. Oh ok. Would have been good if you could mix the correct ratio of soldiers:medics and be able to beat a much larger group of infantry that has no medics. 3. I can lower the fps through my gpu settings to slow down the scroll rate, but it would also lower the entire game's fps. I guess I'll just have to get used to the scroll rate. Btw, how come there's only ONE TS player answering these questions? Where are the rest of you??? SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE YOU GREEDY BASTARDS!!!

Some things that don't make sense (and also annoying)... If you click a unit with your carryall, that unit (except for harvesters) stops what it's doing, including attacking. If you want it to keep attacking, you have to command that unit to attack again (but make sure you don't move it) while the carryall is coming to get it. Imo, that unit should keep firing until it gets picked up. On Dune 2, carryalls are always on patrol mode when flying around and automatically picks up full harvesters and drops them off at a refinery. Westwood should have done the same with TS when you put a carryall on a looping way point. If you hover your mouse cursor over a MCV, your cursor turns into a deploy icon and you can deploy it by pressing D. You see this same icon appear when your carryall is about to pick up a unit, except that you can't press D, you have to click it. It's inconsistent, pressing D should also work. Questions... [*]My Scroll Rate is already set to 'Slowest', but it still scrolls really fast. Is there a way to slow it down without also slowing down the game? I've already manually turned vertical refresh / vsync on. [*]Are Medics useless units in online matches? What else are useless units in online TS? [*]Does anyone else's CPU temperature noticeably rise while playing TS? Mine goes from idle (about 40 degrees celsius) to high 60s. With other games, the temp either rises to mid 50s max, or doesn't rise at all. This only happens with TS.

I'm bored of my wallpapers, and yes I'm aware that there are many online, but I want a CnCNet one, and there isn't a single one online besides logos. Can someone here please make a CnCNet wallpaper, a really good one? Preferably in 1920x1080, or higher with a mixture of different C&C units, buildings, characters, etc., from TD to YR. Or whatever you can think of. I'd make it myself but it won't look very good. Otherwise, if nobody here is capable or have the time, can someone please refer me to a decent site that takes requests? Muchas gracias, ???????, Danke, ??, salamat, Je vous remercie, grazie, ???????????, Dzi?kuj? Ci, D?kuji, thank you.

Make sure that you're using the ddwrapper from this site. If it's still laggy, I suggest to search around these forums or the xwis forums on how to fix lag on Windows 10.

Have you tried windowed mode yet? If you haven't, try everything you've already tried except this time in windowed mode. (ra2md.ini -> [Video] -> Windowed = Yes. Don't forget to set your display to 16 bit color and restart the YR launcher).

Try each screen resolution from smallest to largest, and make sure that your monitor is compatible with them. Also set your exe file to run as admin. Still not working? Can you provide the following info: What resolution are you running RA2 in? (Try setting YR to the same resolution if you haven't already done so) Did YR work before you upgraded to Win 10? If so, on which resolution?) Which version of YR are you using? Is YR installed in the Program Files folder? (Some people have had problems with installing their game in this folder) Have you installed cncnet's YR launcher? (If not, try it) Have you changed your graphics card or monitor since YR last worked?

She can't, she's still on the phone with me.

It's really annoying how your harvesters would rather travel to an available refinery the other end of the frickin map than just wait a few seconds for the nearest refinery to be available. Besides micro managing them, is there a better way to keep them from doing this?
