  1. @AndrewFord @Ezer_2000 I've been continuing on from where I left off in my version of YRR before the guys who made this client "feature" butchered it. Have a look at the changes : C&C Yuri's Revenge - 2021 Mod v1.03b - Pastebin.com It's more of a mod than a balance patch, because I believe that a lot more than a few things need changing to fully refine things. At the current state I've made all factions useful and work with their own playstyle/unique meta, just need to fine tune some units. I haven't implemented any new units, structures or features just yet. The Infantry combat is much improved and varied, numerous unit balance changes made just to make the game more interesting. What I've planned for the future is: Enabling Air to Air combat with jets. Rebalanced Veterancy. More unique SW features, such as a long lasting Weather Storm with fewer lightning strikes, but the possibility of shutting down tesla/mind control weapons for its duration. Psychic Dominator being mostly about mind control and less about dealing damage directly. Tesla coils being chargeable by tesla tanks. Swimming Ivan, Spy. Transport Chopper for Soviets. Being able to place certain defensive structures on water. Eg: Tesla Coil, Flak Cannon, Patriot Missile...etc
  2. They are worth it in conjunction with my other changes that even out AvS at the very top level. Thus I saw no need to buff them anymore, if anything I'd give them better ROT, +1 speed and make sure they have the same range as Rhino. Yes, I believe it's necessary for late game Soviets, with my Apoc changes they weren't all that OP as people claimed and just performed their role as a late game super heavy MBT. In SvS they would replace Rhino at lab level, in SvA they would be circumstancial as building them means you have less numbers and Allied with Chrono Legionnaires and BFs can just kite them all day. In SvY you don't want to build them, because they would have too high of a risk of getting mind controlled.

  4. Basically the Apoc I had in my YRR and the TD had some of those changes but was OP in testing in conjunction with other changes.

  7. The only "pro edit" was an appendix meant to signify an edit for competitive balance. The new LE prefix replaces that meaning Ladder Edition. Maps that only needed minor balance changes look less different than their original counter parts. While maps that needed a greater amount of work look... greatly different. Instead of nit picking on the ones that are only slightly different try to look at all of them with an objective sight and not jealousy. I always put the original authors before my name and clearly add a comma between the authors not the word "and" or "&", to clarify that it was a separate work and not a collaboration. Thank you for the compliment though.
  8. You do realise I've spent over hundreds of hours balancing maps, testing them in game and working with other players to solve map issues? Instead of sharing maps with broken cliffs, terrain movement bugs and weirdly orientated previews how about you shut up and do something useful instead. I've just seen more than 4 posts from you attacking my work for this community. I was angry at Burg for editing my ladder maps with this same half-assed approach and in return he took and edited my balance patch that was two years in development, hundreds of hours spent on play testing iterations. I even arranged a tournament with €100 of my own money for the prize to test this patch. Instead of waiting till the tournament end and letting me tweak it based on player feedback, he took the patch file I provided for the client update and just edited with his buddies in a single night, without any consultation with me. Now I get messages from players who helped me play-test the patch iterations asking "WTF?" Oh, they also removed my ability to argue against what they did in the Yuri Discord and then they banned me after I left the Discord... If you're wondering why the quality control has gotten so bad look at the maps of the person in control.

  14. The best player on the game makes 2 seal ifvs with the tank destroyers. He got rank 1 as Germany. Already done this for the tank and trooper in the upcoming patch to replace "Yuri Rebalance Patch (community)" option. Tesla troopers are very tanky considering their cost, however the cost has been reduced from 500 to 400 to make them a quick counter to tanks. That's a plan for the future, so far I've increased the bomb timer from 8 to 12 seconds. I changed it's damage to be more effective vs tanks and it releases more radiation that lasts longer. It also has an HP increase from 150 to 200. I just reduced their cost and made them more damaging to miners and base defences. They also auto target enemy units now. The Yuri Brute is not a counter to Desolators, Seals, Tanyas or Prism tanks. I reduced it's cost to help Yuri use it as fodder on larger maps with it's Lasher Tanks.

  17. Cool idea, but a waste of time. It would be overly complicated and confusing to use this in the map editor. I would much rather have New Urban's theater temperate tiles replaced by snow for one version and by desert in another version. Seeing as complete urban elements and respective terrain tiles should be available on all theaters. It's frustrating when you can't use a high bridge on a desert map or a waterfall...

  19. You'd better explain how it works then seeing as my Ai keeps using just Engineer+flak track team instead of rhino tanks and terror drones no matter what I set the weights to on any of the teams.
  20. The weight system is quite broken in RA2/YR. The Ai prefers certain units over others without considering weight.

I see you speak out of all knowing wisdom and experience, because it's true that only 95% of the competitive player base plays Iraq (Soviets) and all they do is spam Rhino tanks in every circumstance oh, and don't forget the Iron Curtain. Soviets are too efficient in the economy, production, anti-air and superweapons department. You're just an stubborn old RA2 Allied player, A.K.A people in denial.
