This glitch is in the list of glitches I have posted here that the CNCNET staff are aware of. Knowing what causes it might help: When your aircraft is on a pad, but has no ammo, and is told to fire on something: It will remain on the pad, but never charge unless lifted and put back on the pad. Work-around: Don't tell aircraft on a pad without ammo to fire on something. (Easier said than done, especially when you have 15 banshees all numbered 1 and keep selecting group 1 and using them to defend on coming titan rushes. Etc.

@SexPro: This is an ' alternative ' that can be used, but you will not be able to play with people using standard client.... We all use 'standard client' made by FunkyFr3sh This is 'alternative client' made by Rampastring They both work, but do not work with each other... not compatable. @Funky: This feature sure is sexy:

It seems safe to say that the average 'modder' doesn't actually play maps with modded units? If this is the case, then I think even the modder ladder should not allow maps with modifications to the game itself.

I know about the warning feature and I know what WW players like, but I don't know what modders LIKE as far as map mods.

sexpro, i agree that to get better at the game, its essential to eventually play the WW maps with 'pro' settings, but they should have the choice to make this transition and not be forced. I rather have 50 ww players and ww mod players than try and force modders to comply and end up with 52 ww players and no modders lol.

@CCHyper, these are the three most serious ones. I don't know how far 1B and 1C are from 1, but hope they can be grouped together: 1. Select Aircraft. Tell Aircraft to land under Carryall that is trying to land. Even if your Aircraft is all the way cross the map, it will prevent the Caryall from landing. This should only be possible with a directly nearby land unit or building. Notes: -I have noticed that the spawn area of the aircraft varies based on where the user is scrolled to in the map at the time the unit is ready. -Hold down Ctrl key to Forcefire on ground or your own buildings/units for the test. When landing two Carryalls, each carrying a Distuptor, at the same time, by selecting both and clicking for them to land somewhere with one click, one of the Caryalls will often not release the Disruptor, and land ‘stuck’ to it. It will also not be possible to double-click the Carryall and release the Carryall without first having to move it. The first will spawn on the Helipad and the second will likely spawn off the map and fly home to the Helipad, but if you keep your Helipad full and keep making more Aircraft, some are bound to get stuck off the edge of the map. This happens regardless of map or location on map and regardless of cliffs / landscaping at edge of map. Note: -Map = Terraces Spawn Pos.: Bottom Right. -This seems not to effect Harpies (type of NOD Aircraft), but does effect Banshees (NOD) and Bombers (GDI) that require Tech to make. Repeatedly click to make light infantry, and constantly change the Alt location for the Barracks. Make a Radar and a Jump Jet. +50% of the time, the JumpJet will not come out of the Barracks. Note: -This was hard to re-produce, but happens often enough in game that it is extremely annoying. The glitch seemed to start when I sold Radar, but I could not re-produce this, so do not think that is the variable. It will remain on the Helipad, but will never charge. Sometimes this causes multiple Aircraft to be on the same pad, and several at a time not to charge. Note: - Hold down Ctrl key to Forcefire on ground or your own buildings/units for the test. Next spawned aircraft will go into the shroud and cheat-scout. Aircraft is not supposed to go into shroud, but this glitch allows some to scout without effort. A simple solution that keeps popping up in these threads is to have two separate ladders: -One ladder which allows the host to select from WW maps, as well as maybe some fair WW-like maps, like The Pit, Atombomb's map, or even my map Throwback. Terraces would obviously be the dominant map in this ladder, but there would be option for variety, such as Dueling Islands, Forest Fires, etc, etc. The main point with this ladder would be maps that require economy management, expanding to more money, no modified units or such, etc, etc.... classic Tib. Sun style game-play. This would be the primary ladder among the 'pros' who play the game the way it was meant to be played. -A separate ladder which allows the host to select from mod maps, possibly being limited to maps that do not modify units, but I am not much of a 'modder' so I cannot really comment on that. Maybe it really wouldn't matter, I don't know. Maybe some seasoned 'modders' (nodrescue?) could chime in. I am fairly certain my proposal would be cool with the very large majority of TS.

Not sure what you mean by this... If someone plays 'just for points' then they are wasting their own time, but I don't see how they could be wasting other's time and if someone enjoys gaining points, then who is to say they are wasting their time in doing so. Many people spend their entire lives trying to safe up money, which I would personally say is a total waste of time, but hey, it's what makes them happy, so to each their own. To clarify: I am not suggesting the people who played the cheater have their points effected, I am suggesting strictly the player found to be cheating have their points wiped, but on the very last day of the tourney. I suggest this so their 'punishment' for cheating is all the time they spent gaining points being made null. Kind of like letting a thief spend 4 hours picking a lock, just to find the police are on the other side of the lock waiting

If someone is cheating the ladder system, maybe it would be good to wait until the very last day of the month and clear all their points... you know... let them waste their time thinking they are cheating the system only to find it was all for nothing.

I agree that Quickmatch would be an awesome option, but if it is the only option will kill the ladder. @Trz: That would mean I would have to act a bit more mature around here, hehe

Yeah I usually don't mind toggling out of TL either, but honestly sometimes it goes faster than others and in a real close game it can make or break the game for some people. Regardless, the fix is simple and is done by coloring the ground, don't even have to change the cliffs. See attachments for info on Deso...

Yeah bro but we do NOT care about the rankings (well I don't.). I (well, *we*) *do* care about activity on TS and cheating the system never yields any good fruit for the whole of the community. If there is a way to cheat the ladder, then it will ruin the incentive for people who do care about the ladder, and thus play it for the reason of points, from even trying. This was one of main reasons WOL and XWIS failed so HARD is because there was not any worth-while administrative efforts.
