Play singleplayer Red Alert 2/YR with the improved renderer of CNCNet?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to Vi3D's question in Support
Thats it, open the CnCNet and set the CnC-DDRAW renderer (thoug it should be set by default) and then launch the singleplayer campaigns from the EA launcher. Note that Yuri's Revenge will copy the screen reso you set on thr CnCNet but in Ra2 you still have to set it manually. -
AI in Ra2 is REALLY stupid and plenty full of very big bugs, it's not even a real AI, no matter what you do. And I talk as someone who did much stuff with this. To have a real good AI, we would have to do hard coding with the game files, implement some kind of quite complex algorithm and integrate it into the game engine. And off course, forget about obsolete triggers and teams if we pretend to make it look like a human player, and I said just human, not pro. Not a very easy thing to do...

Need Help!!!Problems with Win11 system CNCNET5 online
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to lhtkick's topic in Red Alert 2
Have you tried to delete/uninstall totally, and do a fresh re-install starting from 0? If you just re-install/overwrite some errors may not dissapear. Also check your tunnel servers and choose a different one, many chinese players have problems with this And I know you know this, but make very sure you don't have a firewall blocking the CnCNet Client from connecting outside. -
lol just dont play those fags

Do you mean on the CnCNet Client? Try getting onto the options menu and adjusting the scroll rate, maybe is for that. Do your mouse have DPI adjust?

Play singleplayer Red Alert 2/YR with the improved renderer of CNCNet?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to Vi3D's question in Support
What do you mean exactly? Of course Ra2 Singleplayer can be played whith the CnC-DDraw on Hi-Res and fantastic performance if you installed the CnCNet Client, but you should be runing the original game from the launcher on EA's desktop App, the client is only intended for multiplayer games and to fix graphics problems. -
Ra2 Mode Skirmish gives internal
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to XMaDTanKX aka T-90's question in Support
Ok never mind. I just uninstalled and reinstalled from 0 all the stuff and the problem is gone, I don't really know what was causing it, as the first time I've reinstalled only the CnC Client waiting the setup program would overwrite any out of date or damaged file, but the problem persisted so it made me think about some problem with the Client itself. The problem now is the AI won't build a single base defense, only in Ra2 mode and this is not new since it used to happen before. I know its not something important as this is intended to play online, just to let you know. Thank you sir! -
Ra2 Mode Skirmish gives internal
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to XMaDTanKX aka T-90's question in Support
On any map, I tried original DMZ, Isle of War and LBL, all three are Ra2 maps, maybe it's my game setup? I think I'm going to do a fresh install just incase I have some corrupt file. If the problem persists I'll report it. Thanks neo BTW, my game setup right now is from The Ultimate Collection, just incase of any doubt -
Hi, I just tried to play some Ra2 mode skirmish games using the CnCNet Client and something went wrong. Firstly, the exclusive units from YR appear on the sidebar as a missing cameo and when I build them they appear as invisible units. Seconds later the game goes internal error and stops. Vanilla Ra2 is working ok. Just reporting incase nobody noticed it. Cheers!

What is causing this Reconnection Error, exactly?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to VickyButler's topic in Red Alert 2
Theres an infinite power cheat too, maybe is for that ^^ Anyway such things happening often should make you suspect, simply avoid those players/join other games -
What is causing this Reconnection Error, exactly?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to VickyButler's topic in Red Alert 2
Usually recon error means that the 'simulations' of the game on everys player computer go out of sync because they are not identical. I can happen because: 1.- Someone is cheating or using external programs to have advantage (map hack, fast build, unlimited money, etc) most common. 2.- Different essential game files in game folder (moded files, client out of date, etc) 3.- Mod maps (in this case make sure all players has the same version) You should check these points before going further. -
Hi, on the Skirmish Menu when you select the map, theres an option you can change, from Blitz, Standard, Battle, Free For All etc Select 'Battle' and scroll down to see the bigger maps.
-
Thats the problem buddy, when you get that bull@%#! where other players get unfair advantage and later crash the game, you don't really enjoy. You only want to kill them ? and not to play those players anymore by the less...

Is RA 2 removed from C&C Ultimate Collection (Origin)?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to Eerie's topic in Red Alert 2
Ok, I've installed the new EA desktop app and from the search menu there I can find The Ultimate Collection, but if someone who doesn't know about the EA app tries search for it on the web page like we did in Origin, they simply won't find it and the old links to Origin download for CNCTUC are broken. I hope EA fix this soon. https://www.ea.com/es-es/games/library/strategy -
Is RA 2 removed from C&C Ultimate Collection (Origin)?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to Eerie's topic in Red Alert 2
Hi, Origin store itself is dissapeared as EA is gonna replace it with another app. No idea how to download C&C The Ultimate Collection since I can't seem to find it in the new EA's web page, so weird things are happening. Also I've read EA may be sold to Amazon, not sure if it's just a rumor or it's for real. AFAIK, Ra2 was always included in the collection until the Origin store dissapeared. I'll be aware for the latest news. -
Trying to get the RA2 Singleplayer working
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to Zigtons's topic in Red Alert 2
Hi, try setting compatibility modes on ra2.exe and ra2md.exe to Windows XP SP3, and in the CnCNet Client choose the CnCDDraw driver. -
Help getting Yuri's Revenge to start on windows 10.
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to icemanxp300's topic in Red Alert 2
Sadly original Ra2 CD's wont run on Windows 10. About Yuri's Revenge, it's depending on the system and graphic card, on some systems Ra2 work and YR not, and in some others it's Ra2 the one that doesn't work good. In your case I'd delete everything and install again from a non-cd installer or origin. Forget about ddraw.dll and forcedirectdrawemulation, the CnCNet Client does everything itself and modifying/replacing these obsolete files only can cause problems. When you have the CnCNet Client installed and Updated, enter the options menu and make dure your using CnCDDraw render. Then search for ra2.exe and ra2md.exe and set compatibility modes to WinXP SP3 on both. For last open Ra2.ini and ra2md.ini, and copy the [VIDEO] paragraph from ra2md.ini to ra2.ini and save it. Now both games should be working no problem on high resolution modes. PS: Dont use weird resolutions such as 1370 x 768, always common resolutions like 1280x720, 1600x900, 1920x1080 etc I'm posting a new video on my channel about how to get the whole game working, maybe in one or two weeks. Cheers. -
Interesting Topic, but I should make a question. What's the point of creating such large maps? Just curiosity guys.

Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask for this, but recently I cannot log in on to Discord. It pops up this msg (A new log in location has been detected), even thoug I STRICTLY only use DISCORD it on my own PC and I'm the only user. Captcha NOT working and Discord app won't send emails, doesn't matter if I try from desktop app or web. Anyone else having this issue atm? Any help would be apreciated.

A Problem With FA2YR101 Map Editor/Creator
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to Cteska's topic in Community News
Hey, open the folder where FA2 is installed and check for this file 'ddraw.dll', if you don't have it just copy and paste from the game directory. Also try this, do right click on the FinalAlert2YR.exe, select properties and compatibility. Make sure the compatibility mode is WindowsXP Service Pack 3 and check the box 'run this program as administrator'. This should work. -
MrMaDTanKs RA2 Mission Maps [VIDEOS INSIDE]
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to XMaDTanKX aka T-90's topic in RA2/YR Maps
There goes my last Mission Map, call it as you like, Survival Mission, alternative Allied Final Mission, myself don't even know why I've made this map but I think is quite good and fun to play, and it's from my 2004 vintage ^^ All you got to do is to establish a base, destroy the Psychic Amplifier before it comes online and affects your team and the whole world, and finally assault the Kremlin with Tanya, no big deal. As expected, there is a contdown for the Psychic Amplifier which once is over, the Mission will be a failure, and just here's the handicap of this Mission. I hope you like it. DOWNLOAD the Map here ? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e3wVLLm1oHmf_93AC3ulBrGtM9KfnY_j/view -
Hi buddy, sadly original CD's won't work anymore on Windows 10. What most ppl do is downloading from Origin and patch with the CnCNet Client, but it cost money...

What Mouse do Pro players use?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to XMaDTanKX aka T-90's topic in Red Alert 2
No one says the opposite, but I'm still convinced that the mouse is a very important link between the player and the game, and that just one bad click can cost you a game vs an equal skilled player. I guess that we just think a bit different. Greetings Mr Sam -
What Mouse do Pro players use?
XMaDTanKX aka T-90 replied to XMaDTanKX aka T-90's topic in Red Alert 2
Well thats new for me, almost every cheap wireless mouse I've seen and tested came with normal LR6/AA batterys You didn't understand or I have wrongly expressed myself sorry. To explain it in another way let's say I have a small desktop with big screen, big speakers, a tripod for my cam and other things, and the movement of my mouse is limitated because the cable hits the speaker when I move right and left, and this really upsets me especially when I'm playing and I unconsciounsly move the mouse closer to the speaker. I'm about to buy one of those iMice to test it ? but I hope my Logitech lasts for many years if thats true ? On this pic you can see what I mean -

Sup Sam, I know what ya mean, when I use the term 'Chinese' I'm not referring to every chinese product but those that are cheap/low quality and they have earned that reputation for something, you only have to look at some secondary car tires brands (for example) But we all know that many top tire brands are made in China too but not for the Chinese but for brands that moved their factorys because it's cheaper to produce there. In my case, I came from a cheap chinese mouse and when I've bought the Logitech I really felt a big difference, on precision, smoothness and other things, also it has its own rechargeable battery and you don't have to buy one (or two depending) everytime it dies costing money, and thats a BIG advantatge. And no I can't stand a wired mouse anymore since I've tried wireles and on my desktop there's not much room. Altough for that price I could take the risk ?
