Euphoria Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 How can I fix the problem of there not being any in-game music playing?
0 Tore Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Is there any music in the options menu? If not then you might have not downloaded the music.
0 FunkyFr3sh Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 start the game, then in the top left go to options and raise the volume .. maybe hit play too the mini versions dont have music tho
0 Jacko Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 on a similar note it seems the music glitches for me it would replace the first however many tracks with the same track I've tried A different scores file, deleting music.ini for now I just have it off with WMP in the background instead. But what is the actual problem?
0 Euphoria Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Is there any music in the options menu? If not then you might have not downloaded the music. If you mean the names of the various tracks, then yes,I do have that, but the problem is with there not being any music playing in-game.The music plays in the main-menu,but not in the actual game itself. on a similar note it seems the music glitches for me it would replace the first however many tracks with the same track I've tried A different scores file, deleting music.ini for now I just have it off with WMP in the background instead. But what is the actual problem? I can't find any music.ini file.By the way,I'm using a Mac and followed instructions on this site on Red Alert's installation. start the game, then in the top left go to options and raise the volume .. maybe hit play too the mini versions dont have music tho I already tried that and it still doesn't let the music play. The music plays in the main menu though, but not in the actual game. Also, what do you mean by "mini versions"?
0 FunkyFr3sh Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 where did you download the game, and how big was it ? the versions without music are usually below 30mb
0 Nyerguds Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Does RA actually remove the entries if they're not found on disk? I know C&C1 does a scan of them...
0 FunkyFr3sh Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 yes the original 303 removes em, but this changed with irans patch
0 Euphoria Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 where did you download the game, and how big was it ? the versions without music are usually below 30mb http://www.mediafire.com/?0dpc41c6lzq7hqo Which was found here:http://redalert1.com/mac.php

0 Jacko Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I'm sorry for digging up this thread but I'm trying to make a custom scores file with a few red alert tracks, a few TD tracks and some from elsewhere. I was hoping you could help me with the Music.ini file as I cannot seem to find it.
0 FunkyFr3sh Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 download this from irans site, it comes with the music.ini and you can use it as example Extra music files (17 MB, music from the PS1 only Retaliation expansion game and unreleased songs) http://iran.cnc-comm.com/ra/
0 Jacko Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 ok next issue I got the added tracks working fine, but I want the original list removed, is this possible?
0 Nyerguds Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 You can just replace them by empty aud files... make a wav with like, a split second of silence in it, convert it to aud, and copy that to the names of these tracks. Or just... replace the original tracks by your new ones?
0 Iran Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I just fixed that in my patch. Like before the game will now NOT show songs in the music list and will also not play them if the game can't find the audio file for them. Not sure when I will release the next version of my patch with this fixes, I'm doing some big changes.
