  1. Hmm. Side-dependent SHP file loading? Interesting idea. I have the GDI one too, by the way (though it probably needs some brightness correction)
  2. Nyerguds

    Little help

FunkyFr3sh: if that removes the dll dependency, it'll crash the game unless you got a TS with 100% unencrypted mix files.
  3. Yay! Go cnc-comm
  4. Actually, if it acknowledges mouse movement (which Funky just said it did) then that's perfectly reasonable. It would mean that to be considered away you either got another window maximized over it, minimized it, have a fullscreen game running, or something else like that. Either way, if your mouse never even accidentally hovers over the cncnet screen, you probably don't have it anywhere you're looking at it. The mouse movement listener in Windows only catches mouse movements going over the window, yes, but it doesn't even require you to select it.
  5. ...that's a really dumb thing to say, weaveR.
  6. As I said, my French and German ones have the EC 0C 00 00 00 version, so that's where they come from originally. I guess they somehow mixed up the TFD one with the German version.
  7. Yep. They're the missing link needed to create new theaters. At the moment, it is possible to make new theaters, but only if you use the palette of an existing theater, and the corresponding .mrf files. Once you change the palette, filters like map shroud edges, white movement circles, the flashing of units and buildings when targeting them, and the shadow effects will all start messing up (containing wrongly coloured pixels), because they are achieved by reordering colours on the palette, and the .mrf files tell it how to reorder it to get the effect. So if the palette changes, the reordering is no longer correct. So I'm making a tool where you can define each filter as a set of effects (contrast/brightness/colorize/etc) so it becomes simple to apply it to a palette for a new theater
  8. It's clearly been jpeg compressed. The font of the "RED ALERT" is interesting, though. I think I've seen that before in beta promo pics of RA.
  9. Play C&C in German sometimes (The French commando is also hilarious)
  10. By the way, I have 2 versions of the German video... one is like the rest, the other has the German C&C1 Commando saying the German "time to rock & roll" line on the Westwood logo screen at the end
  11. I got a full iso of the English version of the demo CD. I assume that besides the videos, the contents are probably the same
  12. Boo. Don't take out all the variety.
  13. So... why are there exe files inside the rar archive? Just send the vqa...
  14. It seems the version on my original English ISOs (made from my own CDs) has your mystery version, while the german and French isos I got have the EC 0C 00 00 00 one. In fact, the ISOs released by EA also have that 53 51 56 57 55 version...
  15. Another small update: added a palette viewer to the right-side pane, which can show exactly which palette entries are used by the remap. It led me to discover that index #0 is practically always exempt from the remapping system and is always mapped to 0, and that the "light" filter (which I suspect is the flashing of units and buildings when targeting them) also uses only the shadow colours of the palette. It seems to basically be the same as the normal shadow, but with the brightness and contrast cranked up.
  16. Now I need to make custom controls in C# for each of these filters... preferably with a common superclass to facilitate import/export of their data...
  17. I enabled the auto-subtitling though xD
  18. In C&C1, it's based on the sell price. (Which explain why the helipad and refinery build way too fast )
  19. The dino missions shouldn't have Nod at all, though. They use a purely grey-coloured player.
  20. Seems more like something lagging the game audio of the announcer voice, and that brings down the whole game for a second. Might be that same SingleCPU option in cnc-ddraw that caused lag on C&C1's videos?
  21. 6 player C&C was possible on the old cncnet as far as I know... not sure what changed.
  22. Oooh! Awesome! Mail it to me, and I'll send you the English version! nyerguds at gmail dot com
  23. I stumbled upon a nice bunch of C# image manipulation tutorials and example code, and I think I finally got the full list of filters I need
  24. Mind you, I watched this at work, where I don't enable sound, so I didn't really hear any of your commentary.
