  1. Yeah, I should look into that. I got a function for stretching stuff, which is used for the "Coming Attraction" screens, but I'm not sure how to handle the buffers for applying it to the background image. There's some kind of problem in it too though. If I remember correctly, it messes up unless I subtract 1 from the target height and width.
  2. Do I need to quote Rule #1 Of Playing Old Games again? -_-
  3. Oh, I know. I was talking about Sib. I didn't even make this topic; I kinda got my own forum for stuff like that, on cncnz
  4. Oh wow, that's an awesome Comm Center icon. Where's that render from? It looks like it's the correct viewpoint to be from the ion cannon video, but you never see the full thing there... Background is clearly the stealth tank video, though. And tsk, they didn't add the exception for harvesters and MCVs in Secondary Scheme logic
  5. No, cnc-ddraw is specifically for DirextX fullscreen 256-colour games. TS is high-colour.
  6. Ehh... kickstarters are for starting projects. CnCNet already exists. What would the money go to specifically? Just an advertizing campaign? I honestly don't see much point. This isn't what Kickstarter is for. O_o
  7. This topic is hardly about debugging the Russian language pack, though. Posting language pack issues here, on something not even maintained by me, as if they're issues in my patch, is seriously not nice -_-
  8. In that case, the usual fix is just to make the font smaller/narrower, as was done in the French version. Or, you know, just re-center those pips Looking at the SHP, it seems the "Primary" text will have the same problem. Either way, if you change the size of a SHP file, expect it to have consequences. Lots of SHPs are exactly and only drawn and refreshed in their original dimensions, so if you ever need to do this, it's only logical you need to test that and see what the results of that change are in the game... and adjust it where needed.
  9. Looks like all of these except [Multi8] are just rules.ini stuff.
  10. No idea, but if he'd have left the dimensions of the SHP as they were, I'm pretty sure it'd work fine. As it did for every language pack I've made.
  11. I see. You could try trimming it down to remove the junk the converter apparently adds, and copying in the original header, as was the original method. Well then change it already, lol
  12. ...why is that Turret icon mirrored?
  13. Cncnet 4 doesn't use the "Online" system, as far as I know. It acts as local area network.
  14. I think I know what went wrong. You probably just made your Russian version of "HPIPS.SHP" incorrectly. Either the pips on it aren't centered, or you made the whole SHP file's height different from the original SHP. 640x400 doesn't work on a lot of modern graphics cards, yes. That's completely normal, and not in any way related to my patch, or even to the game. You can use the stretch controls to get around that, by stretching 640x400 to 640x480, or, for better quality, to a higher resolution like 1280x960 (using the Nearest filter, not the Linear one; that'll just blur it to hell)
  15. bytes? Aren't you using my tool for fixing the terrain types? http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=2111.msg12020#msg12020
  16. Huh, strange. I've never seen it do that before. It might be because of the 640x480 resolution... maybe I still missed some exceptions that check on height=480. Does it happen in other resolutions too?
  17. Yes, these two things will stay changed. That particular N64 mission is rock ridges only, in terms of terrain, so technically It'd work in any theater anyway. I decided to add it as showcase for Snow theater when porting the missions. And Snow theater is just vastly underused in general I have no idea what you're talking about...
  18. Donate? Meh. I make more money than I know what to do with, these days... really don't need the donations anymore. I've been considering removing that button from my site altogether, but... it's such a nice button
  19. That briefing contains a misspelling of the word "soviet". I'm 100% sure that won't be official. check your game folder for loose .ini files starting with "SC".
  20. Tschokky: always save screenshots in png format. Jpeg blurs exactly those details the screenshot should show
  21. Very sorry, but I don't know what went on after it, either! I had to find out from MrFlibble that you even released a Russian version! Not to mention, pretty much none of us can read Russian, so we can't really stay up-to-date with what you do on these Russian websites. And for all the mails we exchanged, not a single one contained a simple "thank you". Usually after I sent you whatever you asked for, you never even mailed me back
  22. Yeah, two mammoth tanks, Rocket Launchers or Advanced Guard Towers easily take out a single A10. Too bad they usually come in groups of three
  23. That just seems like what cnc-ddraw does... are you absolutely sure it didn't simply run in 640x400 though?
  24. I honestly don't see why you are so upset about people using your translation work and distribute it themselves, especially when it's fully credited, with a link back to you. Do I need to remind you that after I designed a translation system for C&C95, FOR YOU, AND FROM YOUR SPECIFICATIONS, I got a year of communication blackout in return, and then found out you did an ugly hack of your translation into the English language included in my patch, rather than using the available system as it was supposed to be used? And then apparently you complained about how more of that hacking in my configuration tool made it crash? All of that would've been avoided completely if you'd have let me make and distribute it, the way I designed it And I never gave you permission to mess around with the internals of my config tool, either.
  25. Logs are typically in the same folder in which the program's executable is located.
