    Uh, it had been suggested to add the whole shebang as extra tech level, which would make such an option completely irrelevant. Anyway, doesn't change the fact I'm simply not interested in doing it. Oh, and if you must know, yes, I do have a condition (ADHD) that makes it hard for me to concentrate properly on things I'm not interested in . I see no reason to apologize for skimming over half of the bullshit in this thread. Yes. The only place where superweapons are side-specific is in the Triggers system, where "Ion Cannon" instantly reloads the Ion cannon if you are GDI, while attacking you with it if you are Nod. Same thing the other way around for the nuke. No, westwood code may be difficult to solve, but with some research it's probably possible. The reason I'm not even interested in spending time sifting through it for this is indeed because it'll change the balance in the game, which will annoy everyone who's used to the normal game balance. And doing it just as feature that can be activated inside the map file seems like a really dumb idea. Not sure there, but they're insanely good anti-A10 units. Though beside that, if you use the S button to make them spam rockets, they're insanely deadly against infantry and lightly armoured stuff, especially since, unlike in RA1, the rockets are ADDED to the normal cannon weapon.

  6. Interesting. I did the same thing for the Covert Ops in C&C95... though just the suffixes go up to 15 missions there (EA->EE, WA->WE, XA->XE)

In the campaign, I once put a map FULL of SAM sites just to see if they'd finally manage to destroy the airstrike. No dice. From the moment there's more than one plane, they'll ALWAYS reach and bomb the target, because the SAMs close again after killing one plane, which makes them lose ridiculous amounts of time while the rest flies on to their destination. The only things that can properly take out A10s are owned by GDI. Also, you assume I know how to change the reload time of superweapons. I don't. I don't even know how they're linked to buildings, except for the fact it uses the broken Prerequisites system. It's very possible that if I link the airstrike to the Comm Center, some random civilian building will also get the ability, and on some maps (Village of the Unfortunate, most probably) you'll get civilians bombing the crap out of the most northern player. I already had problems with that after giving the civilian buildings power to prevent the ridiculous 0/0 balance decaying; it caused the Witch Doctor's Hut building in Desert theater to get a fully functional ion cannon ability. The only reason the same doesn't apply for the nuke is because only a Temple has the ability to actually do the launching animation. ...really? You're going there? "amg I'll beet u onlien to prov my poitn"? I don't even play competitive multiplayer! I like games with crates and Mobile HQs. I use retarded tactics like teching up to advanced comm from the start just to see my opponent wonder how the hell I ion cannoned his weapons factory in early game. I like C&C for its fun factor, not the retarded "ololol im bettar thn u" competitive side. I don't give a damn about rebalancing the game, since I'm pretty sure Westwood is better at balancing than I am. It's my patch, and as I said, I won't touch it.   9. Eh. Never heard enough difference there to warrant the effort of converting it. Oh, and the Saturn version uses CD audio, so in terms of audio quality its soundtrack is definitely superior to the PS1 version. Yes. With my themes.ini you could even add them as new tracks.

    Well, I just happen to like playing non-serious matches :roll: By the way, even if the airstrike was in the game... what would it be linked to? The Comm Center? That would give it to GDI pretty much right away, meaning even a full power nuke would in no way balance it out. GDI would bomb the shit out of everyone early game.
  11. the remappable icons stuff still needs a LOT of tweaking though, to use the secondary scheme, and to disable remapping on infantry icons to prevent the yellow/brownish faces from getting remapped..
  12. Seeing as how the rotors don't cloak, I think that's a given And SAMs don't detect stealth in general, actually.

  14. Umm, if you can't save it in notepad you're doing something seriously wrong... and it's probably the same thing that crashes RAED. Take ownership of your files, and/or run Notepad as admin.

    I do hope none of these 'suggestions' of yours are serious, since, if they are, you obviously have no clue what you're talking about. 1. I don't do balancing. AT ALL. None of my patches will EVER contain ANY balance changing. 2. The airstrike is the most powerful superweapon there is in C&C. It is the only one that both has repeated use and can destroy a construction yard. It is not meant to be owned by one side in multiplayer; it is a crate bonus only. 3. the ion cannon is more powerful than the nuke in multiplayer. The nuke only does 300 damage. The ion cannon does 600.

  20. C&C will take the title screen just below or equal to your resolution, chosen from the 3 available ones I mentioned. In RA, I have no idea. By the way, if that's supposed to be 640x400 stretched to 640x480, why is the screenshot 640x512? I think you really messed up your settings there... Basic rule for aspect ratio correction is height * 5/6
  21. Uhh, I added automatic aspect ratio correcting settings in the CCConfig tool... I don't really see what your problem is. As for title.pcx, there are only 3 ingame (640x400, 800x500 and 1024x640). They're not stretched automatically; the game just has these three. Black bars can be added with the Boxing option ("center" as scaling filter), but that obviously replaces any scaling. I'm not quite sure what you want to do, though... I'd just play on 1280x1024 and enable the aspect ratio correction, which will make you play on 1280x853 stretched to 1280x1024.

    Uhh, the ONLY thing "passivehelis" does is making sure that the "Guard" command on helicopters isn't automatically changed to "Area Guard" for AI-owned ones. It doesn't do anything else.

    Yeeah, I really don't see the point in keeping the tech. If you conquer an enemy building, it's only logical you need to defend it. DOS C&C and C&C95 are completely identical in actual game engine, Iran.

    That, and MCV deploying has a bug where the power isn't adapted correctly: the Power Used value is somehow added twice when an MCV deploys, but only subtracted once when the building is removed. For now, I removed its power usage altogether, because it adds ghost power usage whenever an MCV is removed from the map, be it by capturing, selling, destroying or undeploying. It also meant there was a difference in power usage between preplaced and deployed construction yards O_o
