  1. C&C games also have a "back buffer in video memory" option, so combining the tweaks of the game and wrapper may be useful.
  2. Ah, ok. Your post made it seem like you used the single CPU option in ddraw.ini. Is there a compatibility option for running on one core now?
  3. Oh. Okay, yes, that is odd :
  4. Whoolery, as I said, someone made fixed launchers for all Origin games. Just go and download them here: http://www.commandandconquer.com/forums/showthread.php?8350-- Then just make a shortcut of the LAUNCHER app, and give that the -win command line parameter.
  5. Counterstrike has no briefing videos. The PS version of it does, however, and I ported that to PC with my The Lost Files pack.
  6. ...huh? That makes no sense. That's an option OF cnc-ddraw. Without cnc-ddraw, that option doesn't even work.
  7. Umm, that's the actual first briefing, not the intro video.
  8. Sooo.... only use compat mode when not playing on cncnet then?
  9. Which part exactly are you referring to?
  10. Not really strange. The C&C1 demo does the same thing. It's just hardcoded to play certain mission numbers.
  11. This seems like it could just be some fan created hoax... the document has Adam Isgreen's name misspelled.
  12. I got a SS disk. Lost? No. Forgotten? No. Useless? Yes, quite.
  13. Doesn't cnc-ddraw fix all that too anyway, without needing any compatibility mode?
  14. um, "browser cache" is just the place on your hard disk where your browser saves all web pages and images and such you see when viewing websites. These music files are no different, they also get saved somewhere on your disk when you play them. Most browsers should have some way to go through these files and pick out the ones you want.
  15. Browser cache. Anything you stream is saved on your hard disk in some way
  16. you kinda can't improve performance issues, except by getting a faster device to run it on.
  17. check the link Tore posted?
  18. That's silly. You got VMs for that.
  19. Yeah, the Origin launchers don't pass through any command line parameters except for "funpark" for C&C95. There's someone making fixed launchers on the official forums: http://www.commandandconquer.com/forums/showthread.php?8350--
  20. There never was an actual bloopers video. It was just released as track. It's just audio clips taken from the cutting floor junk of the FMVs.
  21. Tore: No, he means the video bloopers reel track I added on the last mission's score screen. You didn't know about that? DarkVen9109: I got it from Frank Klepacki's website. He tends to post unreleased stuff like that from time to time. I thought it'd make a nice extra, since it was meant as credits theme after all Go to the "Listen" section and open the "rare tracks" at the bottom to find it. It's the "C&C Outtakes Credits Theme". (The Dune II Medley in that section is one of my favourite tracks, ever )
  22. oh wow, a general solution for what cnc-ddraw does. Neat.
  23. ...so wait, they don't support it, and yet they do support it... whaaaat? That makes no sense whatsoever.
  24. Solo: Not really useful. OS specific crashes are not something I can fix in the game anyway. Sanchez: THE NUMBERS! I need the numbers on that error.
  25. Hmm... can you still disable Aero on Win8? If so that may stop it. I thought Win8 had a compatibility mode to disable Areo, though.
