  1. Are you sure that's a limit in the game, though, and not just in the map editor?
  2. That explains why higher values are slower. The fastest speed value is 0, however... there must be some system against the obvious divide by zero that would happen there. Setting game speed to 0 runs at maximum possible CPU speed.

    Oh. How will I encounter them? Just wait. They'll spawn. Also, be the most northern player on the map, because they use the same dumb attack logic as AI airstrikes.
  5. I can't check them here at work, but, make sure the frames don't have an alpha channel. Or are they straight converts from XCC?

  7. The only buildup SHP for MISS that's going around is pretty crappy and starts with the building already halfway up, though.
  8. Hmm, odd. You're sure they're in that folder? :| By the way, personally I've stuck to using the single PNG to WSA one. Can't remember why, but it might be that.
  9. You basically make a copy of the pic, grayscale it, load the purple pal back into it (matching nearest colours), and fill the background and shadow colours to be correct again. Personally I just copy the remap pieces out of the grayscaled image, and paste those back on the original image, to just get the pic with gray remap.
  10. Um, that's just the suffix to paste after the 4-char cutoff of the theater name to get the tempicnh.mix/deseicnh.mix/winticnh.mix.

  13. Nope. The game and intro run at 640x400. All other videos run at 320x200. Only the intro can handle the 640x400 resolution.

  15. Actually, this kind of stuff also happens with crates that spawn units. The crate is picked up at the moment the unit that picks up makes the last maneuvre that would get it to the crate. Unlike celltriggers, crates are picked up when a unit touches it, rather than when they enter a cell. An annoying mission side effect of this (especially for steel crate logics) is that infantry can pick up crates without triggering the celltrigger below it, if you move them back right after they only slightly touched the crate. Wrong on both. Sandbox Skirmish mode, full game speed, on an exe rigged to always use the explosion crates. I've actually tried that before, without result. I have no idea if I tried the chess horse move though. And even knowing what might cause it won't necessarily bring me closer to fixing it. I know nothing of C&C's path finding logics.

Check the included manual for more info. Do note I made that tool for C&C1, and the docs kinda reflect that. No idea what the stretch tables are called in RA1.   18. Nope... seems like a weird issue. This may seem like an odd question, but did you update your video drivers to the latest version? Stuff like that MAY help.

  21. Yeah, but WW/EA (honestly not sure which. Could very well have been WW) retconned that in the end to make it so there's no link between "the RA series" and "the Tiberium series".
  22. All my respect for the work you guys do, but you seem to be mistaking us for people who play anything newer than RA1. Our general solution to the "Soviet factions in later RTS games being clowns" is simply to keep playing the old ones
