If you want to actually insert those as extra tiles, you'd need to make one tileset of each bridge head, and one of the actual repeating middle part, just like in RA1. So, that's three extra. And yeah, I've done all my fine-tuning manually, in a hex editor, or the Mighty CC-Scen Though XCC and cncmap cope perfectly fine with such "fine-tuned" maps, as long as you don't use the tile-overflow trick of adding extra tiles into an existing tileset file and editing the map to use those extra tiles

Command & Conquer: Dawn of Tomorrow Map Contest
Nyerguds replied to Kilkakon's topic in Modding Discussion
With a twist - those obstructions to restrict the path aren't necessarily on the accessible map. Ideally, they are put the 1-cell border around it. This is one of the reasons you can only have a 62x62 playable map, while the actual maps are 64x64. -
There's generally not much use in bringing free things to Steam...

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Nod`s Mission 14 problem

There are only 9 missions in Firestorm... -
It's probably not even enough to add all the new RA tiles :-\ Not to mention C&C has a restriction of 2 terrain types per tileset. There's a whole other annoyance.

Livestreams by Hecthor Doomhammer of several C&C mods

No spoilers, but... be prepared for a VERY hard last mission. Took me a few retries -
mammoth mk2 Yeah, sure. Let's take a unit's name, and then shorten it to the only part of the whole name that doesn't actually mean anything Seriously. It's the '#' in "Mammoth #2". O_o

Okay? What's your point with this? This isn't really your personal blog, you know

Heh. I seem to recognize those rivers from certain C&C1 beta pics It's not that simple. For adding the Snow theater, not a single extra tileset was added. The same tileset can simply be implemented for all theaters. I never added the extra RA tilesets that C&C didn't have (like water cliffs and such); I just made it match C&C Temperate. Because no map editor would contain these extra tilesets anyway. As for how many new ones the game technically supports, well, it's not that many, actually. Due to the 2-byte "tileset ID, cell ID" structure of the maps, the maximum tileset ID is 255, and "FF" is taken up by a special case for auto-tiling clear terrain. So besides clear terrain, only 254 actual tiles can be filled in, and the game already uses 215 of those. So, 39 left.

No, I mean justifying the use of that concept

The lobby is just an irc channel. Anyone logging in on the channel with a normal irc client COULD log them, sure, but that's just the nature of irc; the main lobby is a public channel. Heck, people could also obsessively take screenshots or copy text out of the client and save that, you know. There's nothing anyone can do to prevent that Private channels (the actual game channels) can only be seen by those in the channel, though. No one can log those if they're not inside it.

Doesn't seem very clear, no. It seems to say you can you order a unit to do stuff after it's attached to the carryall, and that it actually fires while in the air. I'd reword this as "When you order a unit to be picked up by a carryall, and then give the unit an attack command before it's picked up, it will keep executing that attack command after being dropped off again." On the whole, though, this doesn't seem very useful.

MISSING MENU BUTTONS, BLACK SCREEN when Alt+Tab at Yuri on Windows 8.1

Renegade is a completely different game type. Not really comparable.

Despite it being freeware, the only ones deciding such a thing would be Electronic Arts... you know, the owners of the game. It being freeware doesn't make them any less owner of the game. And I doubt anyone here cares much about OpenRA

Yeeah, that is a pretty gay name

Map wraparound in all directions? Unless you're on a tiny planet, that concept doesn't really work, no xD

It's not logged anywhere, as fas as I know, no. If you play against AI players, the AI remembers some of these messages and sometimes plays them back to you, but that is just in the game's working memory; it is gone when the game is closed

Grey Goo is great! Though I do feel the need to mention I bought a brand new PC with 16 GB of RAM just before it was released The campaign story is nice, and despite the fact it is quite short (15 missions spanning all three sides), it'll keep you busy for quite a while. It has this good old C&C "fail and fail again until you get it right" feeling. Failing a mission generally didn't frustrate me, but made me evaluate my mistakes and try again in a different way, which I think is absolutely awesome. Do not even consider Easy difficulty. You need that "mission failed". It's part of the experience, as it always has been On a related note to the "trying and failing" concept, though... loading savegames in the game is horrendously slow. But at least it has a "start" button after the loading so you don't have to be super-alert through that loading time.

...you guys are kinda all wrong Remove the "s" from the "https" at the start. This board only automatically embeds videos from the http version of Youtube.

How would medium difficulty be "something wrong with the AI"? I see little reason to play on a different difficulty.
