The problem can be also a lot complexier than it seems. As you say that your computer is a laptop with XP professional and Wireless connection may imply that the laptop has an old Wi-Fi Card, and since C&C uses UDP protocol may cause some packages to be lost. Maybe what you actually got is a Hardware issue, as your card may be messing up with the game packages that you should receive. Check if you got the lastest Wi-Fi driver installed, and the ratio of packages lost in the wi-fi connection.

This seems to be a firewall issue... do you have any firewall or internet security software running in your computer?

House Ordos have a small reference in "The Dune Encyclopedia". On a quick search I could not find anything else besides its logo, and it's funny, because there the Snake and the Book is the simbol of House Wallach. "House Wallach: Sable on a pale (a vertical band) argent, a closed book tenné encircled by a serpent vert." "House Ordos: Or two bones white per saltire, in dexter chief entwined with ivy vert." I really don't belive that Westwood would do such error.

Rocket Launchers are the GDI equivalent to Nod's Artillery. I Really can't understead why they made Adv. Comm. Center required to build them. GDI 8B is really easy if you use your rocket launchers to take down the air Nod reinforcements. You can destroy one Civilian Building to deploy a refinery there, As far I remember.

"Peace through Power" is pretty much based on "War is Peace", from Orwell... Ordos emblem is a snake, through. The snake is well know simbol in holy bible. Still, they use "hit and run" tatics, the same as the Brotherhood uses.

Has anybody here wondered what inspired the Command & Conquer storyline at all? Is Kane based in any literature character, or even the game everyoment at all? - I'm reading George Orwell's 1984 and I can assimilate a lot of stuffs there, like Mass media manipulation and dangerous ideals. Kane's quote in RA installation is obviously inspired from there. - I've read the First three books from Dune's series, but I can only see a obvious similarity with Tiberium and Spice. Anything else?

You can use the south artillery to easily destroy the guard towers. That's not a really hard mission, just build a obelisk there and you are fine. But I have to agree that Nod Mission 7C (Capture the Orca) is one of the hardest mission in this game. You have to use the light tank to tank (meh) the guard tower and use the bazookas + flame units to destroy it. But it's fun to capture the entire GDI Base. As for Nod 6 (The engineer one), it's a real challenger to capture the entire GDI Base. You have to get rid of that barracks somehow.

You are doing an great job, peter! Besides that, I never used a lot of these stuff, but I will take a look in a short future. Cheating is one of the awesomeness of hacking a game. But it is good to know that cheating an online game is not trivial as this.

Build a communications center. After you took down all non-stealth units, your enemy stealth stuff will show on your minimap. So you can simple forceattack the cell. [edit] But I have to agree that a douchebag like you must be banned from this community.
