  1. Check if you both are in the same workgroup. Take a look on this topic. Also check if the computers does not got two network cards connected to different networks. Belive me, it can be weird, but I already had this problem. Kaspersky and Eset32 firewalls (others may also do it) disallows C&C to connect to the network. Temporary disable them and try again.
  2. Define half-build CY. You mean an undeploying CY? If yes, it will. Well, as for an dinossaur, it will be in the map, as it is just another unit. I am sure that the gunboat is somewhere there.

  6. The computer only "read" numbers. An bunch of numbers can mean an instruction for the processor to exectute. When you change those numbers, the computer may do something different, for example, instead of adding two numbers, it can multiply it. The Hexadecimal base is an abstraction for a easier binary editing. instead saying 11111111, we could just say FF.   7. the airstrike is not given through a celltrigger and I personally like that stealths don't set off celltriggers unless decloaked. Although I guess it would be nice to have it as optional. ALOT of stuff in this game would be nice to have it optional Westwood could have done this game with a more flexible engine

    Skirmish mod

    I've seen skirmish missions somewhere. It is just an pre-programmed AI that build it's own base and attack based on Teams (a mission, btw), but in my opinion, they still are pretty far away from a nice player. If you want it for praticing, then don't waste your time. You can build SSM launcher, Chem. Warriors and Commandos if you get a mission with buildlevel=98.

  10. I've edited the sidebar texture in order to get a better look into the Iran extended sidebar hack, it is in the attachment of this post. move it to the C&C95 folder. For white fonts, just get an Hex editor and change the bytes at the andress that Iran told. for Remappable icons: I don't know how to make it work. how can EAX hold a pointer if it is always 0? I'm not an expert in assembly actually. dosmod.mix
  11. I think that was clearly concluded in a previous topic that such changes are near from impossible. Gunboat is weird. I've managed to make it move vertically using waypoints, but it just use an horizontal sprite, and he will just start to move horizontally after the last waypoint is reached. When it reach the ground, it just continue moving. You can't control gunboat, but it seems that they obbey triggers. I have to agree with him... Again, in a previous topic it was concluded that such changes are near from impossible.

  14. Yo. Well, Iran made a extended sidebar for Tiberian Dawn, as everybody knows. I'm adapting my DosMod in order to fix any gliches with the extended sidebar. Well, there is a crappy big shp file that the game is now using and well... XCC does not seems to convert it propiertly (160x1053). Before: After: And it also happens when I convert the original extended hside1.shp to png, and png back to shp. SHP Builder didn't get any good results too... Suggestions?

  16. Look at my Signature Actually, the Nod icons are yellow because the game only use one icon pack for both factions. It remap the icons colors as the color of the faction you are playing.
  17. Forcing to 640x400 can cause problems if you the player are not using cnc-ddraw. Most of LCD monitors can't show 640x400.
  18. Does not seems hard to implement. what can be done is make ra1launcher edit conquer.ini before it launches C&C, change the resolution, and instantly launch the game. As far I know, the player can not change the resolution ingame. Some checks are needed if the file is write-only, that would bypass the force low-res. also do some check in the game .exe to see if the strings related with the video options are unchanged. It would still be cheatable trough, maybe there are ways better to implement it

    And say to everyone that it won't work? come on, let's just do it well done. Not just us play the game. The ones that are in the community are the ones that are appart of those stuff. Grenadier stuff: I said help, not a REQUIREMENT. About the box stuff: If it is going foward, then it is Nyerguds decision Can GDI Launch nuke if they got Temple of Nod? if yes, then superweapons does not really have a owner, so linking it to Comm. center would give both Nod and GDI the Airstrike. Can be a problem it is supposed to be GDI Only. So, the point is, give Nod the SP Nuke, and GDI the Airstrike? perhaps a SP-Like multiplayer mode? (Like in Buildlevel 15?)

    Do you have some kinda reading comprehension problems? Or do you always intentionally misunderstand? Or can you not read slower since you can't think faster? I was talking about the ability to turn off a proposed new option. The new game option called Singleplayer Superweapons which brings airstrikes to multiplayer and the "singleplayer-strong" nuke as well. Easy. don't be aggressive, or people will start to ignore you. Yes, they are. Just spam them as the way you do with the bikes. People forget that the required time to BE ABLE to BUILD a mammoth is bigger than the bikes. Get some grenadiers if you want it to help getting rid of the bikes. The problem is that the War Factory is something really easy to get destroyed. ...I don't have a clue what you're talking about u kidding me? read again? if it's made so that it can be turned off like crates etc? Is it not possible to make it so that when the option is off the airstrikes are gone from mp and nukes are weak as usual? Well, look. If the point of this discussion is bring the SP superweapons to multiplayer in a special Tech Level, why would you disable it JUST FOR some maps (that can cause confusions with people that are not appart of it)? Anyway, look again. If you somehow link the Airstrike to the Communications Center, it also can be linked to an unnespected structure, as Nyerguds spoke. The problem here is that we are entering into a part of the game's code that he think it is messed or hardcoded, where he got any idea how it actually works. Fixing it or implement it could take time, *IF* it is fixable. Westwood games is know for its dirty codes inside it's applications, and reverse-engineering can be painful, you don't know what to expect. Those implementations can cause serious bugs into the game. Let's just NOT expect much things.

    Well, I just happen to like playing non-serious matches :roll: By the way, even if the airstrike was in the game... what would it be linked to? The Comm Center? That would give it to GDI pretty much right away, meaning even a full power nuke would in no way balance it out. GDI would bomb the shit out of everyone early game. An large poney image that I won't quote that's why I said increase reload time for airstrike. Only 1-2 SAM can take care of A10 so A10 is virtually useless.. If you don't have any anti-air structures or units by the time the enemy has COMM, u must be serious noob. Talking about the reality, game pretty much end before anyone even build for COMM.. Let's play 1v1 Nyergud and go ahead make COMM and watch me kill you before u even blink your eye. Heh. I WON'T build Sam-Sites in most games, unless my enemy is spamming Helicopters. Even then I usually spam rocket infantry and bikes then Also, A single SAM site won't even destroy a Chinook, so it is someway useless alone. As told above, people does NOT build comm-centers unless he want to build AGT or Obelisks, or even commando rush. The Comm. center is somehow useless to GDI, since usually people do Tank Rush with GDI, and for getting the anti-everything Mammoth tanks you only needs Repair Bay.
  24. Google for "Command & Conquer OST Collection". I think that it is what you want. Anyway, the PS1 and Saturn musics play better because they got better audio format.
