Nice work CnCNet team!

A small webclient that runs on browsers? that might avoid issues with operating systems

Temple of Nod, and, of course, Hand of Nod.

Did someone fix the 6-Player bug in C&C95 on cncnet5?
-
Then Microsoft dirty fix is dirty and don't work. Not surprising

As I thought: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170269-windows-81-only-mouse-lag-patch-details-download-link/ - Hotfix for the Mouse lag

Interesting... How did you got the triggers from the game? I know that the binary is in some sort of a array ingame. Loading an map and scanning the memory confirms that. But I can't look into it because i'm busy with something else, and I probably won't until January As for implementing in DOS C&C: Dunno.

if it affects all appications, then it's Windows's fault, and Microsoft will quickly fix it. No gamer would want a buggy mouse, and that would affect how windows sells.
-
Sure, Post it

Take a look at this topic, after the post of number 12.

I pretty much think that Westwood forgot to add the neutral as gdi ally to these missions. It happens in a bunch of missions, notabily on the NOD ones. The ones I can remember are: NOD Mission 7B (This one is hillarious) NOD Mission 12. NOD Mission 13B. GDI N64 Special 1. (Dunno if Nyerguds fixed it when porting it to PC) In NOD Mission 7B, where you must destroy the village located at the north of the GDI's base, if you simple reveal the village, GDI will attack the civillians, doing the mission for you. I don't remeber having this issue on GDI Mission 10. If Neutral isn't marked GDI's ally, then obiously it is going to happen too. Maybe Nyerguds already fixed it, and the stuff in his site is outdated

Maybe there is a way to bypass it by capturing the mouse inputs, and passing to the game the hacked inputs? I got no Idea how to do it throught.

Wow, I just saw that today I will when I get time I can't remember why I put that -w there, probably I had my reasons when I was writting it. Actually that code looks pretty ugly

This may happen because the update you got isn't running ra95.dat. Use the funky's files, they will fix it for you.

This bug is also present in the Nintendo 64's C&C, but I never experienced it with Hand of Nod, only with Airstrip. That happens there if you build an war factory when you already got a airstrip, causing units that requires an airstrip to never come. Maybe it is in the PC version too.

Avast trips about unknown software, maybe Norton also do it. When I compile a Hello World in C it warns me... And also, I do not recommend any Symantec software when it is related to security due the well-know fact that happened arround 2006. The crapware we commented here is just a joke about his "1-click install" feature, which in most installers it includes useless toolbars and such that are not included here. -
The problem is that Windows 8 can't display less-than-32bits colors at all. Microsoft did some kind of wrapper that display those colors at 32-bits, and such wrapper do not work very well. A friend of mine had a issue with Counter-Strike 1.6 because he was running it at 16-bits colors mode, and because this, the game was just running pretty odd. After changing to 32-bits everything started to work fine. This wrapper is probably how Microsoft tried to not solve, but bypass this problem. I don't think Microsoft is going to fix this issue, even in next version of Windows, or the next of the next. Maintaining legacy technologies are somehow expansive, and that money could be invested in something else. What is necessary with Tiberian Sun is some kind of a good wrapper, reimplementing the legacy ddraw technologies into a newer one (OpenGL, as example).

Well well, as you know, C&C95 only supports 255 multiplayer maps. The problem is we are running out of slots. I've already managed C&C95 read savegames on other directories by editing the string inside the .EXE. Will cncnet5 be scalable in this way? so we can have infinite maps.

You mean you stripped the game to such an extent it doesn't even contain missions or music anymore... and again, I wonder, why? Maybe to make it fit into 5 floppies disks -

Couldn't you just make the buggy civilian building consume an huge amout of power? that would be an nice workarround for that. -
ehhm... where did you got the ccwmap? it is not what it is supposed to look like. There is a copy of ccwmap31 inside Nyerguds's repository. Try it.
