For sheets and giggles I looked at Bad RA. It is loader with Name= and Image= in the rules so Bad RA is vary crash prone. Every file would have to extracted and given the name of the unit or building of that is replacing. Than they can be packed into a single mix or go full standalone with by replace stock files in the stock mixes. Next the conquer.eng needs to be edited. The Ingame Strings Editor by Vesa Piittinen works well. http://ra.nv17.com:8000/utilities/ingstr12.exe If you plane to only play off line all you have to do is edit the rules.ini and remove the Name= and Image= from eveything once you have done the remaming of the .shp .aud .etc to replace the stock ones and edited the conquer.eng to show the right name. If you want ot play one line it is best to re-do the rules.ini from scrach.

The best idea I have to make a map in RAED that has evey unit and building. The install Bad RA and lod that map and take a screen shot of evey thing. With the screen shot you will know if a building or unit was change and what it was changed to. Than you can extract each.shp from the mix files and give them the name of the unit or building that they replaced/updated.

Here they are. First you will need to rename them to SCU##EA.ini, SCU##EA.ini or SCU##EA.ini as RAED don't read CMU##EA.ini Next many of the have Red Alert unit unbuildabe via TechLevel=-1 at the top of the maps. You can remove them by text edit. CC_Classic.zip

May not be that easy as mant old mods were made before XCC was common so many of the files (.shp .aud .etc) will not be named but use number and letets as a name. (244C26E1.shp when it should be barr.shp)

I don't see whay they couldn't be ported. For Singleplayer mods the most common cause of crashes is use of Name= and Image= in the rules.ini and/or aftermath.ini. This will also happen for multiplayer games as well. By editing of the conquer.eng you don't need to use Name=. To fix the Image= crashes any new .shp files would have to be packed into a mix file using the same name as stock .shp that they are replacing. Next is OOS error. This mean staring with a new set of rules.ini and copying over any change that Bad RA may have made. The only things are no need to copy over then Name= and Image= and do NOT delete any key in the rules.ini. Say the Hevy tank is only using Primary=105mm in Bad RA. You do not delete Secondary=105mm but change to Secondary=none. My setup I replaced so many stock files it dosn't really make much since as it would be on clusterfark of files I could never find my way through. However if any wants to covert Red Dawn to work on any verson of RA you are free to do so. If you ask I can likely help you doing so as well.

The ra95crash.dmp in the REDALERT Folder. If the ra95crash.dmp is not there what verson of RA are you using? Just about every Iran RA95.exe will save a ra95crash.dmp and the ra95crash.dmp dose not get deleted before each game or really ever unless you delete it. The verson is listed below and to the right of Exit Game. See screen shot below.

Before the popup window that saying "Instruction at <memory address> tried to access address 0x00000000. Press 'OK' to terminate the application." There should a popup asking you to find the ra95crash.dmp in the REDALERT Folder and give it to Iran. Find that ra95crash.dmp and posted it so Iran can see why RA crashed.

RA1 won't let me give sounds to each explosion. I know many of the explosion sounds don't match C&C95. I may go back and see if I can match them up better.

Something is wrong with notify me of replies as I never go an email about this. Hope I'm not too late. The GDI Rocket Launcher is using Primary=RedEye If you go down in the rules.ini you will find [RedEye] Damage=37.5 ;75 ROF=80 Range=6.5 Projectile=HeatSeeker Speed=20 Warhead=HE Report=MISSILE6 Change the Report=MISSILE6 to Report=kaboom1 now save your changes to the rules.ini. The Rocket Launcher will now use kaboom1 any time it fires.

When I made Red Dawn window mode wasn't an option as ddraw for RA1 hadn't been made. Window mode option is one of many things that will be added into the next Red Dawn. This isn't an easy way to change the color of the flame thrower fire effect. You would have to extract the FB1.shp and change to a editable format like .png than edit the frames in photoshop. The Nod Obelisk of Light has always not been straight. It is always been curved like a scorpion tail. I took the Obelisk of Light directly from C&C95.

Try building a Helipad. That will make the AI build the Com Center. 1. I can't add turrets to any units. The ability to add turrets to units wasn't done tell Tiberian Sun. 2. The coding/logic that the SSM launcher uses isn't in RA1. That type of logic wasn't seen again in a Command & Conquer game tell Red Alert 2. 3 and 4. Both the Hand of Nod and Weapons Factory are cut down do to "clipping". Clipping is when a part of object can been over the shroud. The Adv Guard Tower is also cut down in size because of this. Below is an screen shot of the full sized C&C95 Hand of Nod and Weapons Factory clipping over the shroud. 4. I do wish I had a Weapons Factory that was at the same angle as the RA1 War Factory but the C&C95 one will have to work as I have it now as it would be too many frames that would have to hand made to get angle changed.

The RA1 AI won't build a Com Center/radar station tell you have built one first. If building a Com Center/radar station dose not work. Build a helipad. I've been working one a new one for quite a while. It is based on the Iran patch and FunkyFr3sh's Launcher and Configure programs. The Iran patch has a coding option that will let the AI build a Com Center/radar station before the player has one.

You place the briefing in the map it self. Open your map with notepad or in RAED by use of Text Mode. Clicking on "T" on the top right by the minimap and add [briefing] 1=War News: The Russians have invaded Poland and have destroyed many towns including the Capital with advancing tanks.@ 2=Mission: Some of our top personnel were in Warsaw for a conference. We must evacuate all the survivors 3=before the next Soviet wave arrives. Find the remains of the places where they were staying and 4=get them to the other side of the river Wisla to the north.
